Belle's Burstin' Bistro (WIP) Demo Publicly Available!

The game is considered done at the moment and I am bug testing it. I’ll have a build available for patrons this Friday, so if you want to be there when its dropped, consider supporting my Patreon. For now, I am gonna spruce this page up for when the game is fully released publicly, hopefully next week. I’ll delete this prologue once its fully out.

Belle’s Burstin’ Bistro is my legit first attempt at game development, I hope you enjoy what came out of it.

The game has you working at Belle’s Bistro, a popular Restaurant that many patrons go to, as a member of the waiting staff.

You’ll be taking customer’s orders, offering to increase or decrease the customer’s order and then taking that order to the kitchen.

Afterwards, you head to the kitchen and drop the order off. The head chef will take your order and deliver a meal, the size dependent on the order you gave in. And then you deliver the order back to the customer.

And from there the loop proceed. The customer will ask for more food, and you can either bill them then and there, ending the service, you can even add a mint to the bill, feeding them just a bit more before they head out. Or you can keep taking their orders and giving them more food. The more the customer eats, the more stuffed they get. Feed too much and Kaboom! You lost a table.

Each customer has a different stomach capacity, so you gotta be mindful of how full they look and whether to serve them again or cut them off. Increasing their order doubles the points you’ll receive, decreasing halves it, and giving a mint with their bill adds a few more points to the total. A kaboom loses all the points you’ve accumulated throughout the serving, unless they blew up after you billed them, in which case you lose a table BUT gain points.

You got 5 tables to wait, each with a customer waiting to be served. Try and make the quota and you succeed, don’t make it or lose all 5 tables and you’re fired! Each quota met is a round won, try and see how many quotas you can meet! My record is 8.

The Game Features:

  • Freeplay mode where you can play the game with no lose states
  • A Gallery mode to view all the customers
  • A toggle for non-burst option. Instead of exploding, the customers will simply be falling into a food coma and crashing onto their chair.
  • Cameo appearances of OCs (both mine and friends) and Characters from popular media

I expect this game release some time in the next 2 weeks, depending on how well the bug testing goes.

So cool, what language do you work on?

I can’t say fir certain, but I am using Godot

It acctually uses C++, C and GDscript, just saying if ya didn´t know, just googled it
