Big Aspirations (DLC Bundle 1) A weight gain interactive story

The point of Aubrey being worried about losing mobility is what spurs her to seek out Tiffany in the first place, originally I wasn’t even going to put an immobile ending there but my thought was that if the player character ignores the science lab entirey there should be some kind of result from that choice and losing mobility feels like the natural conclusion, I still have plans for further weight stages, this is just one of the potential ending points based on the players actions. I may push it back with the next weight stage, I’m not sure yet

An alternate “encouragement” / “punishment” if the player puts it off too long could be an increased debt - could have it go up by like 5k or 10k per stage you put off the treatment.

Is there any I can do to help Lilly

About the only suggestion i could come up with that hasn’t been mentioned already is being able to hand out more glizzard vouchers, like to a certain haughty co-worker that you’ve handed one previously to.

as a means of alternate paths from the potions.

Perhaps if you win enough eating contests you’ll be able to purchase them on occasion to hand out, like a gift voucher.

Who ever needs to hear this You got this you can do

So, first off, I will say that I do really enjoy this game. Got a good range of characters of various attributes and personalities that are fun to see. The art has also been fairly consistent good quality as well. I know its AI generated, but having mucked about with some trained models and personally trained models here and there, I know it can be a pain to get consistent, quality are from generations, especially ones that dont have some weird deformity ruining them. Keep up the good work, and I hope to see more.

Now, onto a few points I feel are more than just a personal difference of taste. The first is a small recommendation for a ‘Once a week’ forceable encounter at work. Considering the randomness of office encounters and their singular nature per day, it can take some rolling to get the individual you’re looking for. Considering there has been some fun content added to a few of them, it’d be nice to have a small cope out here and there. Maybe a ‘You woke up early today, so you have time to swing by a fellow workers office of your choice’. That way, you don’t just get to instantly power through the content, but can focus from time to time. Next has to do a bit with Shadow Curios. I’ll preface this by saying I don’t have an issue with the prices in the shop, the rate you gain money, or anything of that nature. I do find it something of an odd choice to have the Curio shop become inaccessible when you get fat enough, however. There are quite a few items that cost a decent chunk of money, so you likely wont gun for them until later in the game. In latet gain stages, you begin to gain mkre money which further encourages you to postpone getting things like the espresso machine and the vials. Buying the machine, the vials, and a single large group of the additional espresso uses will rack up a good $3000. Waiting till later makes sense to start acquiring these. However, with the stuckage preventing you from entering later on, all the good reasons to wait till your budget is at its current highest flexibility instead locks you out of purchasing the items. The scrolls, while optional, also seem like they will be a decent item to aim for later in the game after a few more updates, as thresholds for increased stages increase as well. With all that said, I think the stuckage scene does need to find a new home. Curios has too many high draw items for later stages, with matching prices, to be locked off at said later stages.

I do enjoy just about all there is in the game so far, including side characters and their content as well. I’m eager to see more added when you can.

Suppose anyone can give me a hint about Lilly. I made her a brownie, and she ate it, I made her cookies, and she ate them. But it seems like nothing is progressing. Any help is appreciated.

Just keep doing that. She’s a bit of a grind, but she’ll get fat eventually.

How do I trigger the endings? I’ve only found two so far

I really wish that I hadn’t included the too big to shop thing yet, It was me putting something in the code for later down the line when I first was making the game, the plan is that this story line will lead to a sequence of events that will end with you being able to get into the shop again, I wasn’t worried about leaving it in the code since it doesn’t trigger until after you have reached the end of the main story content. Either way, I promise that getting stuck is not something that I plan on being a permanent thing.

there’s no option to open the game in a new tab. The link at the top of this page just takes me to the ich.io game page not directly too the game so that doesn’t help and when I play the game through that there’s still no load option after saving.
Apologies if I sound a bit short, I did not intend my message to sound that way.

No link will take you “directly to the game”, the game is hosted on itch so you’ve got to go to the itch page to be able to run it. Unless your browser is clearing cookies every time you close a tab, all you need to do is:

  • Save the game
  • Scroll-click the link to open the itch page in a new tab, doing this all on the same tab will not work
  • Run the game
  • “Load Game” will be the first option above “get out of bed” and “skip intro”

Really enjoyed this game, very much looking forward to more in the future! I loved the Jamie scenes and hope there are more ones involving work involved, as well as more stuff with cooking and feeding it to other people, possibly? Keep up the good work!

Does the amulet help you gain weight or is it just used on the Shadow Curios clerk?

It boosts player weight gain if you keep it - you should see the text for ‘I’ve gained some weight’ every morning while you have it. Useful if you want to spend money on others/save for other items & still gain.

This is actually a based idea omg. I see the appeal of magic sudden expansion potions, but slowly making the other NPCs more gluttonous is a thousand times more appealing.

Another based idea tbh.

The randomness is kind of a detriment at some point, especially if you’re trying to track the progress of your coworkers. I’d like to add that there’s also a bunch of permanently missable events tied to randomness and weight stages, for instance I’m pretty sure if you don’t go on walks at the stage upon which it is unlocked, you lose the option to go to the buffet forever.

I would really recommend against blocking off access to the Shadowed Curios. While I get that there’s sort of a shift to relying on the fairy for the same bonuses you effectively block off all access to the vials and also to see the character at all.

Also if you didn’t go to her about the magic cheesecake before getting too large you’d entirely lock that route of content. It’s not very likely but still wouldn’t recommend blocking it off unless you plan to reopen the route later.

Quoting the author: the plan is that this story line will lead to a sequence of events that will end with you being able to get into the shop again
