[Bug?] Editing Top-Level Posts Requires Adding Already Added Tags

Quick Description: I was editing my top-level post to include a link to an early release of a game. It already has five tags added, but when I try to save my changes I get a pop-up saying I need to add tags.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Edit the first post in the projects board.
  2. Add or remove something.
  3. Hit ‘save’.

Expected Output:

Changes should be made to the post reflecting the user’s input.

Observed Output:

A pop-over saying that tags must be added appears. Clicking the popover or trying to add tags has no effect, so tags cannot be added or remove to hit the requirement.

Pop-up blockers and site filters disabled.

This might be a red-herring, but I happened to notice this:

Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: Failed to resolve module specifier ‘/highlight-js/forum.weightgaming.com/600885de53a0c5dcaf15540b83e94aafa44c5313.js’. The base URL is about:blank because import() is called from a CORS-cross-origin script.

I suspect this is actually more related to the project page being locked, but perhaps not? Could just be a regular bug.

Change: Updated because I realize I never said I couldn’t add or edit the tags, but that’s important.

I just looked again and you don’t have 5 tags added, actually. I don’t think tags can be edited in the Projects category at the moment, though, so this is a bug since it means you can’t edit at all now if your page has fewer than 5 tags.

I have a feeling this may be related to my previous suggestion for the mandatory tagging system for forcing projects to specify either AI or no-AI and the sudden appearance of a bunch of more detailed AI-related tags being added.

I will try to confirm this later. I would recommend hitting the + icon and seeing what pops up. The error message might be a bug.

Sorry, this is not a bug its part of the mandatory tagging I have been setting up around the site.

The projects category requires 1 tag from 5 different groups

  • Generative Content Disclosure
  • Releases
  • Paid Content
  • Platform
  • Video Games

You can find the tags for each group under the tags page. I have been trying to update posts to the new standards where able but you should consider the Projects category to still be in flux as I am still working on it.

EDIT: If it looks like you can not update the tags yourself DM me and I can help you out with that.
