I feel like Casualties: Unknown is a perfect game for the more personal aspects of something strange happening to your body. The new XL mod for it proves that a game that focuses on the gritty details of what’s happening to your body at all times. The game itself makes what you come by so intimately connected and weirdly immsersive by focusing on the consequences. Already, a weight gain mod would be perfect.
So… Why not a preg mod? It wouldn’t feel out of place in the game. The tone is good for having something actively growing inside of your body, and not having a lot of ways to make it easier on yourself. I always found the ‘cons’ of pregnancy to be interesting. Abdominal pain, morning sickness, weird warmth, your horrmones being all of of wack, and even the kicking and squirming of your brood. Casualties: Unknown is all about the intimacy of something abnormal happening to yourself, and the consequences that come with it.
Maybe, you could come across a serum that triples your XP rate, but also impregnates you. You’d have to deal with increased appetite, vomiting at the beginning, your character complaining about something they don’t quite understand and is wildly uncomfortable over it, and the eventual birth to come, but it’d also make your character happy as time goes on. Keeping your character happy in this game is extremely important, so it wouldn’t be just screwing yourself because pregnancy is hot, I guess.
I wish I had the time or skill to make something like this. I’d really like it ingame because of how well it may fit, but I’m really only good for ideas and writing. If anything like this comes by, or if anyone is currently working on something like this, you should state it here. I’d appreciate it.
