Chub, Chomp, Chill (Version 1.2 Out Now!)

Basically what I did, was give 999 Lollipops to a throwaway Client, you can do this by

  1. Enter Settings

  2. Open Save Data

  3. Open Citizens Folder

  4. Select Throwaway Client’s File with Notepad

  5. Ctrl + f "citizenLollipopAmount

  6. Change value to 999 or any amount you’d like

  7. Turn the game off before saving so the values don’t change and reopen

  8. Go back to the Client and put all into happiness boosting and wait for some points

This method is a bit scuffed but it can work.

Gotcha.

Was hoping there was something more streamlined like being able to change how much points you get from each level rather than spamming a bunch of levels on it. This is completely fair though as a solution though.

Thanks for replying. Appreciate it.

Is there anyway to do this but with money?

I have no idea, but this method is good enough, doesn’t really take long. I’ve tried changing stats by default but that didn’t work for some reason. You could try to find the point value yourself if you’d like

Thanks for the input so far, everyone. Guess I still have some work to do.

The “Cure Illness” task is bugged. Even when you cure illness, sometimes, it doesn’t count towards the task. This happens independent of whether you’re rubbing your citizen’s belly to cure it faster. This is a bug, but personally, because this task is such a chore compared to the others, I’m of the mind that it should be removed.

Oh, you reminded me! Something else I’ve noticed is that these tasks don’t seem to reward Lollipops, and honestly, they should! going through seperate tasks to earn pops while playing would help speed the game up.

Correct me if I’m wrong about pops not being a reward if so.

the tasks give you chocolate coins

the character creator isnt working for me. when i try to pick anything there arent any choices at all so i can only make a blank character

the tasks give you badge points, you get chocolate coins everytime you level up; the coins let you purchase badges, while BP let you equip them

so how do i import characters again?
and is there a place already where people are putting up there custom characters and personalities yet?

I’ve been playing for a few hours, and I’ve managed to have 1.0 crash on me, about half a dozen times so far. Every single time I was trying to type a custom number into the purchase field*. No clue if it’s just coincidence and something on my end, or if it’s a Thing.
Not trying to complain (thanks for all your hard work Scribbles!), just trying to share a possible bug.

*Edit: And/or the custom amount field in the crafting menu

Hiya,

Do you need to use boost items to get the body type stuff to work?
i.e double belly/doughy etc.

The boost stuff seemed a little overtuned, so I didnt use them on the next character and I’m noticing it just defaults to the round option.

Also - think there might be an added zero in the levelchange min weight requirements from city to country. By the time you get to country you’re already overflowing it by a massive amount.

After experimenting some, it would appear that, if your capacity is too high, it loops around into the negatives, thereby breaking the game by preventing you from feeding a character.

I’ve discovered that if you bloat a character (It is very easy to do due to the low capacity for each drink) too many times, it causes a memory leak a LOT of performance issues, might want to look into that, as it was one of the things advertised. Also, you might want to have Bloating reset after a day or so, as if you heavily bloat, it takes WAY too long for it to go back down.

Loosely stealing this list:

  1. Gameplay is slow, even when upgrading, agreed. I know the game’s supposed to kinda have that “idle” vibe to it or like Tamagotchi or something, but there isn’t enough for the player to do when actually playing the game actively. I thought there were plans for minigames or something, but I guess not?
  2. Events show up slowly, big agree. They were too rare in the old version, I think I saw maybe one or two ever. In 1.0, I’ve never seen an event after about two hours. I hate RNG-heavy mechanics in games, so this really grinds my gears.
  3. Crafting sucks, agree. I don’t know why it’s in the game or what it adds. Besides, my character’s vegetarian and most of the crafted recipes look like they’re not vegtarian at all. (I also feel picking a character with dietary limits should add a little X icon on foods so you know they shouldn’t eat it, especially since IRL vegan/vegetarian stuff is kinda blurry.)
  4. Upgrading digestion is slow with high capacity, agree. I know the old version seemed to scale with your capacity a bit, but digestion back then was completely bananas, it’s like there was some extreme overcorrecting going on here.
  5. Shop variety stinks, agree. Having to sit around waiting so damn long for the shop to reroll sucks too. I think my vegetarian character’s first day food selection was literally all meat, just to add to the annoyance.
  6. No way to preview body types…? I just assumed they weren’t implemented, heh.
  7. The camera not going down for short characters sucks, agreed.

Personal additions:

  1. I’m not sure if stuffing with food (not gaining, I just mean stuffing) is bugged or not. I tried bumrushing overfeeding a character with high-volume, low-cal food and it doesn’t seem like they’re bloating up at all. Is that implemented at all?
  2. Feels like the boost effects all seem way too strong, like drinking two extra sodas and their belly’s diameter becomes equal to their height.
  3. Clothing fit seems WAY worse than before, I think, and the clothing having one-sided models makes both clipping into the model or growing too loose look bad. Feels like the game should just remove the clothes when the character’s big enough to clip. I actually have a technique to make clothing fit regardless of shape keys that I use, but it’d require redoing most of the clothing (wouldn’t take long though.)
  4. Kinda iffy about the new flat faces, tbh.
  5. Nothing to help judge scale when adjusting your character’s height. Should definitely have a yard/meter stick standing up next to the character to help identify their height, or just an actual number next to the slider, or something.
  6. Double-clicking food in the inventory when they’re full, they’ll refuse it, but if you click the actual give button you can overstuff them. Also I’m not really sure, but I think you give them items when you single-click sometimes?
  7. Character creation should include a little emote button or something, so we can see them bend over, jump, smile, open their mouth, etc.
  8. Maybe a weight/bloat/bust/butt preview button in the character creator too?
  9. I’m not 100% sure but I think some screens rotate with the left click while others rotate with the right? I remember getting really confused a few times.
  10. The mouse wheel zoom is basically enabled the entire time the game is open, causing the screen to zoom in and out when you try scrolling down a list.
  11. When I played with a character for a bit, then quit to the menu and started a new character, while in the character creation screen, I got a notification about a character with a blank name, one of those notifications like the ones you get when they get sick.

Dang. Alright I’ll make notes of those.

Aditionally, a feature that could be added is limb erasing. For example, making a character that’s a fat mannequin. The animations could be the same and besides, you already made it so we could remove ears. Also, the fact that faces still show in animation even if you disabled them is also another thing.
