I’ve got a character at 10k weight and she’s still walking around, so what level does she need to get before she gets to the immobile state, or is it not reimplemented yet?

NVM: it’s 100k or so, at least for that character it was

So after i playing the new update for a couple days i would like to give my feedback,yes im aware of the bugs but i want to give some good feedback without the hate from the postmortem message.

I want to start by saying keep up the good work,game development is hard and you’ll never appease everyone. While there are some valid critics that i agree with,there’s some that i don’t agree with. I don’t agree with going back to V0.5 but there’s a lot of things that made 0.5 better in some eyes.

The good

  • The menu, i personally like the new menu,it clean and more concise. Without the bugs,i can see the vision.

  • crafting,some people don’t like it but it makes sense,it give you an opportunity to get food items that is not in the store and can offer more

  • the new body minus the flat face, i do like the body system in this version,theres minor gripes that I’ll go into later. I like that you can have extremely varied bodies of you characters.

  • Mechnaics that i like, i like the new poking mechanic but i find that i accidentally activate it when i try to rub the characters bellies.

Now let’s go into what is missing and things that needs to be fixed.

what is missing/needs to fix

  • resetting weight or buffs, I’m confused as to why this store was removed,as in 0.5 it became irreplaceable because it helped reset and fix mistakes like if you accidently give them the wrong buff or just didn’t like how they look.

  • the face and some body issue, i don’t like the flat face ,i understand that it is to make the texture easier but it god awful at times, my main issue with the body system is that the height slider and leg slider make the character phase through the ceiling or floor. It also didn’t adjust the camera to match the height of the player.

  • The menu, I do like the set up but it is isn’t without it flaws, The body menu for the different type, i would like there to be a preview so i didn’t have to make 5 or more citizens each with different types because at a certain weight whatever body you selected wouldn’t matter any ways. All the other issues i have are just bugs

  • let’s get into the real meat and potatos. The crafting and Gameplay loop, Right now it is way too slow, especially with the happiness and new leveling system. What do i mean by this…Right now, The store rotates out 9 selection of food, some more than others, but ultimately Some of the items that you need for crafting, Never shows up, Like for me Cheese Slice i haven’t since my first creation of my citizen, it’s been 2 days and countless store changes. My question is why can’t we make the lesser component like cheese slices from the cheese wheel or Ice from water. Secondly, If i select a diet, some diet are REALLY hard to find stuff for, like Vegantarian,or the Drink one. There are many items for meat lovers and sugar but not for those also the lack of buff in those catergories. This compounds with the leveling where for you to get food, you need happiness, which generate slowly even with levels, you need about 20 levels and 5 hours( not joking) to have enough,especially at higher weights and capacity. Which compounds on the fact that 90% of the game is waiting, Your character gets sick you have to wait, Need an item from the store, You have to wait hours, Even leveling it takes for hours and it best to just create a citizen that has high happiness gain stats, leave the game running while you are at work and then make another citizen. I remember Belly Rubs generating happiness in 0.5 but that’s absent here. Having alittle more to do while we wait would be helpful to get rid of the tediousiness of it right now.

I think that is it for now, I don’t have any requestable features because i want this game to run smoothly first and in a state where it can progress forward first

Tasks are the checkmark in the menu. You can also get Badge Points from LevelUp Lollipops.

Be warned the “Cure Illness” task seems to be a little bugged and often doesn’t update/complete. A workaround I found for that was opening the citizen save file* in Notepad (while the game isn’t running) and manually editing the “false” value to “true” and the currentAmount to whichever the max for the event is.

So far I’m really enjoying this update, some great new features and I can tell that the game runs much more smoothly (I’m playing on laptop integrated graphics), I also have some gripes as well…

Some more positive things first;

Really liking the new in game music and sounds, the music feels chill and it blends nicely into the background, and the new burps and belly noises sound great.
The voice acting is nice too, much better than the text to speech, the only thing I don’t “like” about it that the characters feel a bit mute? they don’t say their blurbs which is a shame…

One of my larger gripes is that characters kind of seem to float at higher weights?

The crafting feels like a mixed bag to me, I like the idea but I feel like it could be executed a bit better. because right now I kind of hesitate to feed my citizen because I might need the ingredients for crafting, and who knows when the item will roll around back into the store… and there is also the limit of 999 items in a stack, should probably be higher.

Overall I am enjoying it!

Guys, does anyone know where the new clothes closet is? Btw I pretty much agree with all the current feedback, like the shop items changing too slowly and stuff.

I think the shop items changing slowly gives it something resembling a gameplay loop, where you have to plan things ahead if you want to hit cravings or craft food.

I feel like it could do with giving the player some knowledge of what foods will come in the future. Or perhaps requesting certain kinds?

Also some of these items are weird. It feels like one should be able to craft ice from water and glasses of milk from gallons of milk

none there is no way to lose weight unless you get a lot of bad event endings and even them not all take weight from you some take HP

The custom body shapes mean they only gain where you want them to though, so that’s something.

na fam just play and test with them i see the body types as a base mold what you feed them and how much of it is what will get you your ideal shape after that simple feed them non buff foods and your golden

not a major bug but ummm golbins should not be able to move at this size no?

I believe it’s an issue when changing level i,e going to the apartment to warehouse etc

I really like the update so far, the new body types are fantastic.

how much do you need to weigh before you transition to warehouse? i have two characters both over 100k but they’re both still in apartments

I have played for some hours and want to talk about the game,

*talks about the game*

Needless to say the character creator is awesome, body types and body part types are genius, and, of course, charACTER EXPORT LETS GOOOOOO
A nitpick i have would just be more consistency in the UI elements, like color pickers being synchronized to the color displayed in the character. Also the numbered buttons could have the color they are set to as background instead of all white (also also i think head size wasn’t applied properly in one of my characters, i have to check if the bug happens everytime).

Crafting has been a little controversial but personally i like it, as others have said it is a way to have access to a lot of different foods without the need to wait for the shop to restock (as long as you have the ingredients). I do think the 999 limit hurts the crafting though, i think that at least items that are plain ingredients like sugar, flour, cheese, meat, bread etc, all should have a higher limit of 9999, and keep meals with the current limit.
Oh yeah i’m not really bothered by this new limit so far, but…

I think the shop should change to fit the game or the game should change to fit the shop, because right now it feels like they are two separate things, the shop always comes up on discussion when a new update drops. I could create another citizen and focus on them instead of the citizen that i’m currently invested in because i’m out of sugar thats absolutely not meta to make apple pies and it’s the 6th consecutive day that the shop doesn’t sell sugar- but do i want to?
(No i don’t want to feed them another food shutup)

I really appreciate the increased slots for citizens, because due to the lack of a preview of the body types in the character creator i just fill a dozen of them with models of each one lol

On that note i couldn’t notice much of a difference between the leg types, except the flabby bottom. I don’t know if it’s because i made the models when i was trying to make them without buffed foods or not, considering it seems that the buffs accentuate/activate the shape, will have to test more. (I like to see what the base shape is before using buffs, did that every version)

The tasks are a very welcome way to get bp, will not miss the bp training badge
I’m not a fan of bloating so i don’t like the bloat ones though, don’t like the illness tasks either, but nothing that save editing can’t fix

Talking about save editing, at first i wasn’t planning on cheating money, but the 1x and 2x speeds kinda bored me and the digestion nerf has been rough on the lollipops sooo… i confess, i cheated.
But i’m not talking about that because of guilt, but because i’m conflicted. The early game of CCC is better than ever before in my opinion, but when you reach the really big sizes, not even warehouse yet, i start to miss the breadloaf/soap bar look of 0.5… making models for this kind of game, with this level of complexity, with this many options, is really freaking hard, i understand, but, as the guy who asked for thighs, i think i’ll be switching between 1.0 and 0.5 for now, 1.0 for within-reality sizes (in 1x or 2x speed, because yeah, i have basically cut the length of the game in 1/16) and 0.5 for everything above, not that i’m disappointed or anything but i’d rather have that over what we have now…

I still want to get to space, obviously, although that will take reeeeally long even with 8x

Also also i feel like we are losing a lot of screen real estate having the camera orbit a fixed point all the time, and thank Gretta it is fixed and doesn’t scale with height, around 2/5 of the top part of the screen is just never used, i feel the need to make everyone tall to have the whole screen filled with the good stuff i’m here for
