Chubby Pixel Dungeon

I made a mod for a fork of the open-source roguelike dungeon crawler pixel dungeon called Custom Pixel Dungeon. All it does for now is resprite the playable hero classes and change a few texts. This isn’t its own whole fork of PD that adds weight gain mechanics or anything like that, it just makes characters chunky. It’s basically a texturepack. It’s also WIP and unfinished, mostly that the warrior and rogue aren’t actually completely done yet. I might get around to doing some of the monsters too.

How to install:
1.
Get Custom Pixel Dungeon from either the play store for android, or the github for PC.
Google Play Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.qsr.customspd&hl=en_US
Github Link: Release v1.0 - Sprite Sizes Config · QuasiStellar/custom-pixel-dungeon · GitHub

Find the MODS folder.
Android: /sdcard/Android/data/com.qsr.customspd/files/MODS
Windows: %USERPROFILE%/AppData/Roaming/.qsr/Custom Pixel Dungeon/MODS

Note that newer versions of android won’t let you access the mods folder on the phone itself. You have to plug it into your PC with the screen unlocked, and then you can get to it and move the file in.

Download this zip and copy the folder inside of it to your mods folder.
Chubby Adventurers.zip (1.1 MB)

Start the game, and then click the mod manager button.

Then, go to the installed tab, select chubby adventurers, and click enable.

After this, you can close the mod menu, and you should be able to play with the new textures.

To make your own stuff like this, or edit mine, for Custom PD, you can follow this guide:

Not the first game I would have thought needed a fatty retexture, considering the limited pixels to work with. But the sprites look good regardless and it’s a pleasant surprise seeing this game get the attention it deserves.
