New patch is up! This one should (hopefully) take care of Tora and Kara’s glitches
So, I downloaded 3.4.2, and uh, I spawned in somewhere called the Dienro house. Is that normal? Because that is not how I remember the earlier version starting
I’m working on it right now - I was debugging the Dienro scripts and forgot to set the starting position back to where it ought to be.
The download links will be replaced when I get everything uploaded again (it might take an hour or so) Sorry about the wait, everyone!
New links are up! These ones should be infinitely more playable
New update! This one makes things a bit cleaner and neater in and of as far as coding/scripting goes. It should help to minimalize issues with Tora.
For now, Dienro scenes are going to be walled off until I can figure out why they’re giving so many different problems to so many different people. I know that it’s a bummer to the players who enjoyed them, but they’ll be back!
Ok sorry , I didn’t know there was a special meal. It’s working with it, thanks
How do i get fat gabby?
Fat Gabby’s not playable, but she does appear in one of the Dienro scenarios! Unfortunately, I’ve had to wall those off for now
oh, but for those that have already completed the chapter, on the next update, will we have to start again to see some new stuff?
Those who have already finished the chapter and unlocked it, it should still be available whenever the Parlor gets opened back up again. It’s just a matter of figuring out what’s causing so much trouble for everyone that’s made me wall them off. I know it’s a pain, sorry!
What website do you use to open with. I keep getting internet explore and it won’t open. Does the the game come with a file.(Win)
Yes. It should work regardless of your browser. There is a file. You can put it on your desktop. Use 7-zip or WinRar.
Kinda strange this has almost the exact same folder name as corruption of champions, heh, was that intentional? like a riff/homage? or nah?
edit: Oh also, I played through the demo, my review so far, the parts of the game where you explore locations, decide who to talk to, and engage almost on an adventure game level are great. The rpg battler mechanics though? I could honestly do without them, not that that’s your fault but rpgmaker rpg battle mechanics are like state of the art for the mid 90s (aka not that fun to me anymore). I don’t really see this as a problem to “fix” though, fixing it just means making more of it, which means I have to play more of the rpg battling and less of the cool adventure game style walking around talking to people that’s actually pretty sweet!
Glad that you’re enjoying it so far! My biggest complaint is that the battle system isn’t exactly intuitive on the developer side of things, but this will be the only game that I work on that has a battling mechanic
If you hate the battling system so much, I’d recommend just not using it very much and just focusing all your time on the more adventure game style mechanics of conversations exploration and lore.
It should be out before the end of the month - I posted a thing on Patreon about delays due to personal reasons, but I completely forgot that I didn’t post one here lol
This last chapter has relied heavily on spritework, so that’s taken up most this month’s development. What’ll probably happen is I’ll get the “main” quest finished, as well as a few of the less complicated sidequests, and then take June to finish up what I haven’t had time to do this month.
Chapter 6, however, will be relatively straightforward - it should only take me the standard month to complete. Since there won’t be any sidequests that are dependent on anything else in Aemple.
And then, after that, it’s full steam ahead to Chapter 7 and the conclusion of the story!
Thank you for the answer.
Quick question, the next chapters (4, 5 and 6) aren’t going to be free right? Just want to make sure, I’m sorry if this question somehow bothers anyone.
That’s right - chapters 4-7 will stay Patreon exclusive. However, I will continue to release updated versions of the demo! That way sidequests and graphical updates, as well as characters who are added later into the game, will still be represented in the demo.
Are you planning, once it’s all finished, to have a means to buy the game without being part of the Patreon? Will people who were patrons during the development still be able to get the final version later, once it’s finished?
