My elongated break is over and I’ll be getting back to work on the mod now. I’m thinking it might be best to work on the direct feedee fetish interactions next due to how I won’t need much of a refresher on every aspect of how the stuffing events work. I’m not exactly sure what the feedee’s interactions should be outside of the stuffing sessions though. I’m thinking of maybe having the feedee get a bit grabby with themselves in the presence of the other partner, with a very small chance of making the other character a fat fetishist after doing this. I’m clueless on what to do for a third interaction though, any suggestions?
having them slowly get impulsive and stacking some debuffs on church or non fat loving opinions in random events would bring a bit of balance I think
Maybe have the feeder purposely try to burst out of clothing?
I was testing out the mod a little more, and it seems like it’s too easy to gain weight and almost impossible to lose it. Pretty much every ruler I look at has at least the soft body modifier, and once my wife got the gluttonous trait (having been put on a non-stop light diet) she went from normal to fatty with the addicted to food modifier in about 5 years while both being on a hard diet and the light diet.
As for my other experiments, the weight gain mod is compatible with the married lesbians mod, which is fantastic for super straight guys like me who want to play with both aspects of weight gain (admirer and feedee) lol. Also looking at the sketchy cheat menu, I believe that you could incorporate that into the mod if you want to have some shortcuts for testing but I’m not a modder so I’m not 100% sure.
As for bugs, the trigger youth WG event doesn’t seem to be working, and if you fatten a prisoner they’ll lose the obese trait after you click off their portrait and their weight then seems to stagnate
Thanks for the feedback
The weight balancing is proving to be the biggest obstacle so far, I can never seem to make a dent into it. I think It’s mostly the dinner date frequency that is the cause, as well as the fact that the AI doesn’t yet have access to to the “Intense Work Out” option (to mirror the player’s one when weighing themselves). The food addiction event needs to ironed out, still not sure how I’ll do that. Maybe I’ll make it a late stage reckless eater debuff instead of just whenever the character reaches a certain weight and fails (or passes depending on the point of view) the trait check. I’d also lower the frequency of said events.
As for the youth WG events, are you referring to the targeted decision for yourself, or are you talking about the metabolism random event that only happens to 1/4 characters?
The targeted decision
That decision is probably working as it was intended. All it does is add a flag that does the same thing as when 1/4 characters struggle with slow metabolism and then choose to ignore the problem and eat as they always have. The flag simply adds 1 weight every time the weight pulse is fired. Thank you for reminding me about this though, because it really should have an event fire after taking the decision to make it less jarring.
I really need to stop obsessing over what I’ve been so stressed out about. Apologies, once again, since it’s eating my time away from the mod. Honestly I should be working on the mod more than I have been, because of how much focus developing it requires. Otherwise, I spend all my free time looking at every status update/scrap of news that comes out about it. I won’t go into what is bothering me, but I will say that I really hate and fear diseases, and leave it at that.
Back to the topic at hand though, I’m working on cleaning up a few existing issues with my events right now. Mostly I’ve been fixing bugs and finally getting around to setting the AI chances for event options that I haven’t gotten around to yet.
It sounds like you need a dinner date.
I had an idea, I wouldn’t do it until after 1.0 is out, but I had an idea as to how to make the mod more add on friendly. I could make little .txt file tutorials detailing how some of my mechanics work for the purpose of making addons (Stomach capacity, temporary obesity, clothing, reckless eating, diets/physical activity etc.) This would allow anyone who would want to make a sub mod for Fatocracy to more easily learn how to use my existing mechanics in their mod.
That would be stellar!
Alright, I’ve got a few things I want to mention.
First, I am nearly done with the Neko drawing for the event involving Neko maids.
Second, I want to work on some misc. events for a while. These are short little one off events that will be minimal in effect to your character. I want them to mostly have to do with the character being fat, getting fat, or those around them being fat (either actual characters or some generic person like “Castle Chef”). An example of what I’m aiming to make these would be when you get stuck in a doorway in the vanilla game, or something similar to when a gluttonous wife is coming off of pregnancy and has chosen to continue to indulge. If anyone has an idea for these, I’d like to hear them.
Third, when it comes to art that isn’t mine, I would like to know what everyone wants in regards to how accurate the images are to the time period. I’m going to make a poll giving two options between “Accurate and Fantasy” or “Close enough”. I will always try to use images that qualify as “accurate and fantasy” as a priority over the “Close enough” option if “Close enough” is considered acceptable. The options in detail are:
-Accurate and fantasy would consist of just images with medieval style clothing, as well as anything that fits the “Fantasy” style. The main benefit of this would naturally be that it is the most authentic of the three, but it is also the most restrictive and would take more time for me to find and get permission from artists and/or it would take more time because I’d have to draw more images (which would be lower in quality due to how long I’ve been drawing).
-Close enough, will give me more freedom with what images are used. This would mean that images with things like skirts will be present. The benefit of this would be I’d have a wider range of images to use, which would mean it would be a lot quicker for me to secure permissions and spend less time drawing, but at the occasional cost of authenticity. How jarring it would be would vary from person to person.
This is an anonymous poll, and I will be abstaining from the vote since I’m willing to do either.
- Accurate and fantasy
- Close enough

I think “Close enough” will do it as long as you’re not pulling really popular characters from big franchises, as that tends to ruin the immersion a little bit. (But even then, it’s not that big of a deal!)
Some small events (Been a little while since I tried the mod, so there might already be something similar in it, in which case just ignore those):
Chaplian/Holy man comes to visit you about your new gluttunous habits
This could be tied to what sort of religion you have to yield different demands and results, and what sort of character the holy person is. Could result in a gain/loss of their personal affection, your piety, and/or maybe a trait.
Your subject or your ruler/lord invites you to a feast
I think this one speaks for itself! Could result in an increase/decrease of prestige, affection, and obviously body mass.
Your armour almost won’t fit you anymore
Maybe this one only pops if you are leading troops? Could result in a decision to start losing more weight, maybe you look the other way and hope the problem solves itself, or if you’ve got the fetish trait you only get encouraged to gain more.
You had a dream about being much, much fatter than you are right now
Was it just a dream, or a sign of things to come? This one would yield similar options and results as the event above.
Yeah I’d say close enough should be fine as long as their all generic characters, and hey it could be an opportunity to get creative and try out some more fantastical concepts.
Some small event ideas I thought up, it’s been a bit so I apologise of their already in the game
-
Peasant women complains that the nobility are growing fat off the backs of their labour and the player can either embrace being an indulgent lord, punish the women (by fattening or imprisonment), or take it as a sign to start getting back in shape
-
If a ruler is fit but their family/court is full of overweight people of their preferred orientation, they can either complain, show off just how mobile they are to tease them, or secretly enjoy it and throw a small feast
-
If the player has a specific body type (boobs, bottom heavy, belly) and are participating in a duel, an event can pop up before the fight where they can decide to use their largest body part in the fight, such as crushing their opponent by sitting on them with their gigantic rump or knocking them over with a large belly
If the ruler, and a large proportion of the court, are extremely fat, then with a non-gluttony-appreciating-religion there could end up being a major threat of populist uprisings/civil war/rebellion as the people are fed up with the indolence of the nobility and the imbalance of food stocks.
This could end with choices between diplomatically/militarily putting down the irritation, or a whole event chain where the peasants are starved harder/food is guaranteed for the people, insurrectionists are imprisoned then tortured/fattened/eaten, religious reform to promote hedonistic extremes, laws/decisions to import masses of food to feed the nation, etc.
If the poll continues with the current trend with “Close enough” being acceptable then that is the one I’ll go with. For those that voted the other way, don’t worry, because I will make an option in my mod’s control panel to replace the less fitting images with some of the generic ones from vanilla or the more fitting images I added. I will also make a small tutorial detailing how to replace images you want and don’t want.
I really like the ideas from Tightfit, Skinny_Guy, and blargballs, and I will be adding pretty much all of them into the mod pretty quickly.
I’m also adding three new traits into the mod, I’ve already made the sprites for them. I’m adding “Cook”, “Baker”, and “Master Chef” traits into the mod. It will more or less work as a new skill that can be leveled up. During related events, characters can get experience (handled by a variable) in either cooking or baking. Get enough experience, and a pop up event will give you the corresponding trait. You can only have either Cook or Baker at first, but if you get even more experience in cooking AND baking, you get the Master Chef trait. If a character is married to someone with these traits, there is a 50% chance (100% if Master Chef) of them getting +1 weight every time the weight pulse fires. This chance will be cut in half if the the character also has the temperate trait. Glutton and hedonist spouses will always get the extra weight from the weight pulse. Here is the other things the traits do:
Cook: This trait will give players a 4th option when choosing diets (for themselves as well as those who’s that can be dictated). It will give you the option to have an extra hearty diet, this diet will add 1.5 health as a benefit (hearty diets only give 1 point of health), but every time the weight pulse fires there will be a 20% chance of gaining an extra +1 weight. The trait will also give the character a +1 to stewardship. There will also be a minor title for unlanded characters to become the court’s cook, this will be used for events (think of something similar to the court physician).
Baker: Will get a diplomatic option to deliver sweets to a character of their choice (in diplomatic range) every now and then for an opinion bonus. If the character accepts, the target will gain +1 weight, but regardless of whether they accept or not, you will still get the opinion bonus. Bakers will also get +1 diplomacy.
Master Chef: Combines the effects of the previous two traits, as well as giving characters a decent monthly prestige bonus.
EDIT: These traits would also be great for another bloodline type later down the line. You’d unlock it by causing other characters to gain weight using the very hearty diet dictations and having your baked goods accepted. Once you’d get an accumulated amount of weight gained by other characters (whether it’s all on one person or spread across many), you’d unlock the bloodline. A unique feature of said bloodline, would be that members of your dynasty would automatically have at least some cooking and baking xp by default, but 10% of the time one of children will be gifted and have enough xp for either Cook or Baker upon reaching adulthood.
The Master Chef trait would also be one of the requirements for unlocking my food oriented merchant republic.
I’ve also gotten the Neko drawing finished for the event! Here is the link: Neko Maid Getting fat (CK2 Mod) by failmuseum on DeviantArt
Also, here are the icons for the three new traits:
Cook:
Baker:
Master Chef:
Awesome stuff, you’re doing an incredible job here.
I’m hoping to finish up the localizations I promised you before the weekend’s out as well, should be able to get it added for the next build update!
Also if you’re still taking suggestions, I was playing After the End and I found a halloween event that’s a spoof of Thinner where you insult an ugly old crone and there’s a chance she curses you with being fat. Could make for an interesting addition as well. After I finish the temp obesity stuff I may start coding out some event ideas instead of just sharing them as well.
Ah a classic scenario, I very much support this
Also silly question but is Luxuria Fantasia already included in the fatocracy mod?
No it’s not, but it can be downloaded from loverslab here: https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/7030-ck2-luxuria-fantasia-updated-25feb20/
