Weight Gain and Consequences Expanded - The Height and UI Rework
This is something that’s been bugging me ever since I started playing with this mod. You’ve noticed how women are always shorter than men at the same height value right? That is working as intended, but the height traits don’t reflect that. As such women would always be given shorter height traits than they should, and the Colossal Height trait was completely impossible to get. So I changed it. Women now have a separate table of height thresholds to be assigned traits by. I also rejigged the male table while I was at it to bring the values closer to the medieval period.
Next pet peeve: children are treated as though they are adults in regards to their height. Newborn babies are 6 feet tall. That’s silly. The height calculations now take age into consideration if a character is under 16, giving them a more accurate height and therefore weight as the weight calculations use a character’s height. It isn’t perfect still, and I’ll refine it in the future, but it’s better than what we had before.
Now the UI. I’ve added character height to the character window, next to the character weight. The code for this was surprisingly already in the mod, just never used in the character window for some reason. I’ve also shifted them both onto a new line to prevent window stretching from too many words on the same line (most common for characters with many court positions).
Lastly, I’ve fixed the English localisation and included MomoKashi’s changes like I said above. Full patchnotes are in patchnotes.txt as usual.
