I’m thinking about diving in and trying to fix/improve this mod. It’s not something I’m experienced in but want to give it a shot. If anyone has any tips to get started I would appreciate you sharing them with me!
Just go for It honestly, there is no wrong or right. Just make sure you choose “UTF-8 with BOM” for formatting, and be generally careful with replacing base game things, for example in the “activity_types” folder, there are a wedding.txt file and instead of making a whole new wedding.txt file, change the bit you want and rename the for wedding_plus.txt. But even then the worst you could get is the game not opening at all, also using “-debug_mode” on Steam launch properties is a big help to test events and what not.
Ps: The CK3 wiki will be your friends when It comes to scopes, hierarchy, IF/ELSE & AND/NAND/OR relations.

You could create a git repository, I would translate it into Russian. It would also be easier to track the latest version.
I’ve updated this mod again, so as promised I’ve created a new thread to keep development more focused: Weight Gain and Consequences: Expanded V0.6.0.
It’s been a while since my last post. I was fixing errors I could find and developing new content, so I’m ready to share the new version of the mod. But first I want to say something about this thread:

So as I can see Wulf has made a new topic for this mod or better to say the “community” fork of the mod. In my opinion it is a very good idea since 780+ replies seems like a lot and modern state of the mod looks nothing like its “original”. However, I was and I still am very conservative about kind of taking the authorship of this mod and creating a new thread like it is my own work, I’ve never really seen my changes and even a new content I added as something that can allow me to take credits for this amazing mod and all the genius ideas it had long before me. So, even if it may upset you, I will continue posting my version of WGaC here, unless I change my mind (which is possible). Probably shoud have renamed it but it kinda contradicts with the things I’ve written above.
Anyway, here’s finally the list of things I’ve added:
Patchnotes?
- 1 new event for fat lovers (requires fat wife (overweight or bigger), any fat_admirer trait and stress > 40)
- Sounds! IMPORTANT: sounds are turned off by default, you HAVE TO turn them on in the settings of WGaC (WGaC mod settings in the Decisions). You only need to turn them on once in a campaign (just remember to check it at the start of a new game). If you don’t like them, you can turn them off at any time.
- New culture tradition that gives bonuses for fat people. For now, it is just a small addition that doesn’t do anything interesting, but it is a nice base for some new content in the future (if I’m not lazy…). I also want to add a new faith tenet in the future, but it requires some time and effort as well…)
- The most important thing that I have been working on for a very long time - Kidnap and Force Feed scheme. Yes, now you can fatten people in some kind of an RP way, containing a lot of text (I was really tired writing and translating it, please show some love for that, it was pain even though it was quite exciting at some point). Although it is for now strictly restricted by the sexuality of your character (cuz I based it on the Seduce scheme), so keep it in mind. This scheme is not finished and I will certainly have to come back to it later and add some more flavouring etc., but for now it is again a pretty good basis.
- Dynamic values for breaking bed and buying new clothes (scripted event values)
- Some minor changes and bug fixes
- Implementation of Wulf’s changes and additions (except for something I didn’t like or didn’t understand, like height system that just didn’t work properly for me, perhaps I will look into it in the future but for now I like things the way they were)

As always, please let me know if you encounter any error/bug, I will do my best to check it and fix it in the new update if there will be one. I can’t really play CK3 properly with all the mods I want so I will probably wait for new game updates and then I will update the mod as well (which will take a lot of time, again).
Nice to see you still adding new stuff! The whole point of my thread is for all of the community’s additions to be combined into one mod, not a complete takeover on my part. That will be made much easier once I get the git repo set up (which I will do once I finish updating the mod to CK3 V1.19), but it is meant as a community project rather than “my version”. If you want to submit your additions once the repo is set up I’ll happily add them.
I’m puzzled at the height system not working though, what exactly was wrong with it? I did change it again in V0.6 so if you haven’t tried that out it is a lot different than it was previously. I haven’t had any issues on my end so I don’t know what could have went wrong for you.
Yes, I understand, but it still kinda bugs me that I’m tweaking this mod for myself and also adding new stuff, so I guess I’ll have to separate my additions when the repository is set up or maybe if you wish you can do it yourself, which will definitely take more time and I don’t really want to disturb you and cause troubles because of my inconvenience.
About height system I’ll have to check if you have really changed it since I saw it last time.
so i downloaded ck3 rn. im not that well with mods so id like an step to step guide. i went on your link, downloaded an cbo_01 zip and a different one with the same name. what shall i do now ?
edit:do i need a mod loader or is it enough if i put an folder into the ck3 folder labelled as mods ?
Crusader’s Kings 3 already have It’s own mod loader, It automatically comes up when you launch the game, otherwise, you can manually open It yourself by openin the “dowser.exe” inside the “launcher” folder. As for installing manual mods, you probably installed right, but just in case, you can check a youtube video.
