I’ve recently fallen out of love with FF14, and I really need something social-oriented to fill the void because modding Skyrim for two months straight isn’t very good for the psyche!
Figured I’d ask here - regardless of actual kink content, anyone playing any MMOs as of late they’d recommend? Hidden gems or popular ones, doesn’t matter, just need a social and fun and maybe RP-friendly environment to fill the time, especially if you have guilds or groups to recommend.
Just kinda need to feel like I’m a part of something again, y’know?
The best one I can think of is ATLYSS
It’s both a single player and a multiplayer RPG in which you can customize your character (Weight included!) and has a fun game loop. I personally like it because there’s a big modding community making amazing content for this game.
I’m very much aware of ATLYSS and I don’t really care for it since to play with others, it tends to require a convoluted modlist they need me to install and sync up. And it’s not really what I’m looking for either.
I’m moreso asking in the same ballpark as FF14 or other MMORPGs like it. I don’t explicitly need fat bodies or anything, hence the category I’m posting in.
The other MMOs most patreon paid user’s are playing is Weight World Online. It’s still not a free game yet. The developers are still working on the MMO game with a major update due to developmental cost and server maintenance.
I mean, these are the first actual suggestions I’ve gotten! I’m not looking for a weight gain MMO, just a new MMO recommendation, preferably for a social seeker like me who wants a new place to make friends.
Solo-heavy experiences like BDO probably are not for me, sorry to say! I’m looking for like, a recommendation from someone who’s already in a guild on an MMO preferably.
Runescape/old school runescape could be something to check out as well. There had been alot of attention going to it awhile back when there were a lot of people jumping off WoW to flood into RS like they had with FF14 years back.
Can’t speak to Dune: Awakenings general pop but the entire game is set up to encourage server or ‘Sietches’ and community actions for progression. To be fair I haven’t played since release though.
I always hear things about, elder scrolls online, guild wars 2, the lord of the rings online, and star wars: the old republic as I believe these are all still getting updates into 2025.
World of Warcraft still the most popular. You can check which servers focused on roleplay there: Category:Servers | World of Warcraft Roleplay | Fandom
In Final Fantasy 14 a lot of roleplay players too, but since you already play in it I guess you know that.
In Guld Wars 2 doesn’t matter which server you chose, but you need to find guild which focuses on roleplay. I guess you can find some in google.
New world just put out a big update, so I’ve been giving that a go. Most of my time goes to ff14 but I guess I can’t recommend that one lol. WoW is usually a safe bet, I’ve heard good things about their current expansion, but I couldn’t get into it. GW2 is usually a solid choice too.
I mean, FF14 is my big one, but, like. The number of MMOs that are good are kind of dwindling, I guess? At least, I feel like it. They’re tending to be more solo based and anything that has a group is like, quick dungeon runs and whatnot. GW2 is a good one still, though, despite having something of a solo-story, friends can still come with and help out.
I am playing Secret World legends, but it has no Fat character options, and its play loop is best described as " A single player game tied to a server" unless you are running raids, which are mostly Dead.
I am also playing some Champions online, which you CAN make fat characters if you mes around with the creator enough, but it isn’t very populated.
