Don't Fear the Jester - A Fattening Card Game (Post-Jam V1.0.1)

If you do end up working on a sequel (which would be amazing!) it’d be really interesting to get to know more about the jester and to expand more on her character, maybe even getting to see their face behind their mask and that. I just really like her design and the character she’s got

This is one of my favorite weight gain games in awhile! Great gameplay, good commentary, and fantastic art to boot! Wonderful work! I am very much looking forward to a remake/sequel or any future project to come!

I like the idea that a tied hand is a mutual gain. It felt a bit weird that it was always skewed one sided. Places nicely with the new wheel option too and making the secret ending easier to get.

This game would be a 10/10 for me if protag have voice when reach the last three weight level like the Jester and seeing protag on third person view

This game would be 10/10 with voice period, but I understand limitations :^)

Really hoping you do expand upon this concept, maybe give each ending more pov stuff to do would be my suggestion, I think this version would have been a 10/10 if the secret ending also had a feeding scene for you and the jester as you settle into your new lives

||fed up with the chickenshit rules & it’s a waste of time anyway. BBw-chan it is, I guess.||

A very good game, though definitely could use more content in the visual and gameplay loop department, especially if a sequel/remaster is on its way. As such, some ideas for you:
• Endless Mode: See how long you can last before your gains catches up to you.
• XL Mode: You are already a huge ball of blubber with little hope of wining. However, why not double or nothing to see if you can plump the jester up to your size or even get them even bigger.
• Ending Scenes: No matter who wins and looses, you always get a neat picture of your accomplishments.

I really like the game but as a personal opinion I hate when content is tied to luck, It’s your game so do what you want I just dislike it.

I only bring it up because 40+ runs in and I can’t get the secret ending. An Item to bank a card for a later round or something would be a big help I’ve gotten them both to the 2nd to last size on 3 attempts just for the joker to not come up. Even using that item that lets you pull a new card from the deck 3 times on the last round.

Is there a save editor or something I can use to force the event because I stopped enjoying repeating the runs a while ago. I hope I’m not coming across like an ass here the game is really good. I just have shitty luck so this is always an issue.

okay so i ran into a little problém, well not really little but on andriod it doesn’t show me the whole screen, it’s basically super zoomed in i hope that’s fixed in the future cuz i really like the idea and wanna give it a try

I agree and is something we discussed before implementing it since the odds where really really obnoxiously low.
Spoilers ahead:

That’s why currently you only need to take both player and Jester up to the last size before immobility and if you or the Jester play a joker it will always land in the mutual gain spot.

We will take into account this kind of stuff for any future adjustments tho to not fall in being overly punishing.

I kinda wish there was a meter or something to let me know what level both the user and the jester are on that I could toggle. Right now I’m having to open up notepad to keep tabs to try to get the secret ending.

At least once you’ve played through for each of the regular endings and unlock the gallery, you can jump to the penultimate weight stage and study the main features of the art at those stages. Like for the jester their chin sticking out from their, now tilted, mask. The PC is a bit harder to pick up the differences on, but the extra belly curve line on the side of the ripped top was my key marker.

The way I’ve been keeping track is with some coins. Start with one coin on each side deal them out like the cards one close one further away. when you have 7 coins to a side there on the last size before a game over.

amazingly simple and fun game - love it!

would love for there to be a way to view the MC in a future update - also very pro SFX (wheezing, more heavy breathing, belly slosh, etc)
