In the vore route at least, the quest breaks when you defeat Wallatrix. You only get the option to demand better working conditions (hasn’t come up in this route?) or leave. When you do the former, you get forced into a second battle with Wallatrix causing the whole thing to repeat.

There may be the wrong event triggering after the vore fight. Will look into it, ty!

Playing DOTD on mobile and everything has run nicely so far with just a few kinks that I can overlook (probably just because I’m on mobile)
And I’ve gotten to a section where I have to stand on runes while fattened for a bridge to open up, but I can’t find said runes? I’ve scoured the whole area I can access and I can’t jump over the river. Maybe there’s something I’ve missed?

I’m so confused and I need help please.
Here’s where I’m at:

The runes are the circles like the ones between the pillars in the screenshot.

The potato boss fight is still unwinnable because of the insta-kill Mega Feed attack. I’ve tried dozens of times now. Grinding levels to get past it isn’t a valid option, because 1. the attack does way too much damage, I’ve have to have like 5 times as much HP to survive it, and 2. the combat in general is really slow overall, because of how much HP the monsters have/how little damage the characters do, how much spells and abilities cost to use, and how little money/items/XP you get for winning. If all of those things were, like, doubled or halved in favor of the player this game would be a lot more enjoyable.

I actually managed to get past it in previous builds, so it’s even more frustrating because the whole game has just suddenly been locked off. I WANT to play your game. I really enjoyed the story and the art and all the other parts of the game. But this boss fight is impossible to deal with.

I figured it might’ve been something like that but nothing happened at all, fattened or not :frowning:

Sorry you’re having trouble. Can I see a screen shot of your status screen? I wanna know what stats you got. And your items too.

Also, have you fought the Paladin of the Devourer yet? It is possible to get into the Seal of Flesh early. You should explore the caverns till the central hub first

There are three runes. One to the north past the crumbly rocks. You need to be skinny to cross them. Get fat before standing in the rune then step on it. Digest and go back across the rocks. The second is to the far left. Same thing there. Make sure to fatten before stepping on it. I can see you already did the third one to the south! After that it should activate the bridge!

So if I wanna do the vore route and get the devour skill, do I have to eat ALL potential companions?

Actually…I don’t think I am on the vore route, I had Mari eat the hungry elf tbat you meet and then the paladin. But I can’t go back for the elf in the very beginning

No you don’t have to. There’s NPCs to nom on. The companions will leave you tho if you eat too maybe ppl

Oh…I just ate my slime friend…

I have beaten the paladin, reached the central hub, went to the town, etc. There’s nowhere else to go. And even if I am too low level, grinding is too much of a chore, because I run out of MP after 2 fights and have to go back to town to rest. And the only way to make the fights reasonable is to make both characters immobile so they have enough attack power to do actual damage. Which makes them incredibly slow unless you spam jumping, so grinding takes even longer because of how long it takes to walk around to trigger fights.

I finally managed to brute force my way past the potato boss fight by just going over and over until it just didn’t use the mega feed attack enough to wipe the party. But now these entrances don’t work.

Ok interesting. What items do you have equipped?

Oh no hehe x) there are other dialogue options where she may runway or stay longer. At least you don’t have to worry about running into her again in the future (that part is not currently in game yet but she is planned to return if she gets away)

When I was fighting the potato boss? Battle Axe, Round Buckler, Adventurer’s Clothing and Guard Stone for Mari, and Battle Axe, Buckler, Bronze Armor and Magical Stone for Jill.

Ah okay, I recommend finding better armour for Mari. The Potato does a fair amount of physical attacks and armour with extra Defence would help a lot. There should be some good stuff in the Chub Town shop, or by exploring around.

I’ll try that, since I’m restarting because of the bugged stairs and doorways in the dungeon, but it doesn’t fix the fundamental balance issues. Normal attacks do barely any damage except when you’re immobile-sized, enemies do way more damage to you by comparison and spells cost way too much MP, you run out after barely two fights, which is a problem when they’re the only viable option thanks to basic attacks doing no damage. I have to turn off encounters in the starting mine area because I’m out of HP and MP after 3 fights, I only have 2 thick meat and a health potion from the chests in the area, and I haven’t even reached a place to rest and heal yet.
