Definitely not fussed about it. Though I have seen neat uses of it, albeit in games with a dev team <1 :stuck_out_tongue: . IIRC there was one person on the site using it to do some really cool 2D softbody physics, but there was a lot of math involved and it is something best incorporated into design earlier.

e: Hopefully this illustrates my desire for future sprite sizes (and my opinion of best girl)

I finally thought of what was missing, the archer.
but i think you still need to focus on character you already added, This is just a role making suggestion, not forcing you to do it.

Hmmm, we ARE lacking in units that can fight at range(though the arrows would have to be magical teleporting arrows in order to eat the enemies).

I definitely want to put in an archer type character! Maybe she’d be an elf?

use her against vegetables will be nice, or else we don’t have girl can effective eat vegetables.

Ranger would make sense, depending on implementation, though I have several other ideas as well.

To contextualise the current roster I would look at it this way - currently the game has:
2 dedicated offensive characters (1 ranged/magic damage, 1 melee/sneak&weapon)
1 dedicated support character (bard)
2 mixed role characters (1 melee&shield/weapon, 1 ranged&heal/faith)

There are three damage types with only one associated character; sneak, faith and magic. There’s no way to inflict sneak damage at range yet, which is something I think a Ranger would help with.

Because of those limitations, the Witch, Thief and Priestess are mandatory if you’re trying to make faster runs. If you have that composition the Warrior is not very viable because the Thief is more reliable offensively and the Bard is better at support, which is something the Priestess can’t do when she’s forced to focus on offence to defeat Faith-vulnerable enemies. The Witch is annoying when some enemies are vulnerable to her but others aren’t and will KO her instantly and a magic character without AOE would be more versatile outside of magic-heavy levels.

So basically, in the short-mid term for looking at more characters I’d rec;
A ranged sneak-based offensive or mixed-role character (ie an archer/ranger)
A second dedicated support that can effect enemy timers or type similar to chocolate sauce item (chef? druid?)
An offensive char that can cause melee magic or faith damage (warlock? paladin?)

The game doesn’t need a really big roster and there are other options, like adjustable equipment or alternate versions of existing heroes, in case that sounds like a lot of extra art assets.

I hope saving’s coming soon.

I hope girls will tear those cloth when they getting fatter, not just push away.

Saving and new items are the only things left for v0.3, so I imagine saving will be done sometime in the next month.

This is my current plan for the next weight levels.

Would there ever be a sandbox mode?

Ooh, or a level maker. Have it spit out a code you could copy-paste to other users.

Possibly, but I don’t have any plans for it yet.

This might be an easy thing to implement. I’ll have to think about it some more.

we can make a ā€œall you must eat buffetā€ to force character must lower speed each room, till level over, give great reward like ā€œevery one can Extract onceā€, you won’t let every one get in another level with fatness over 1000, right?
