unfortunatley it might be a while before i can support
Iâve noticed that on the update schedule on patreon, it lists the Knight, Illusionists, and the other new adventurers 3 times each for the new weight level sections. Wouldnt this mean that theyâd end up with 4 sets of weight levels? If so, thatd contradict what youâve said before about how the 3rd set of weight levels are the final sets.
You are correct, I made an error when organizing the schedule. Thank you for pointing it out to me, it has been fixed
well we all make mistakes.
Beautiful! You inspire me to sketch her, too! :3c
nice art of priestess
very cute! the priestess deserves all the love she gets u_u
we do have a fan art catagorey in case anybody wants to share their fanart
If I do end up sketching her Iâll be glad to upload it!
Incredible! Absolutely love seeing fanart!
Thank you! Iâm always happy to give back in some way when someone creates something I enjoy, so Iâm glad you like it!
Looks like most everybody voted in favor for the the world map! I will begin work on the UI overhaul soon. It will probably be done the week of August 10-14!
So I just thought Iâd make what I believe to be a rough summary on each of the 8 currently playable characters. This will be based on how good they are in the current patch and what they have going for them.
NOTE: this is based entirely on my own opinion. This is not intended to insult anyone who thinks differently than I do and has a completely different opinion than I do.
Thief: was the best character when the game first came out, and has held up since. For a long time, Thief was the only way to deal sneak damage, while thatâs not the case anymore, illusionist is considerably slower than Thief, and only has a AOE, compared to Thiefâs very fast single targeting. The only real weakness Thief has is not really being to attack magic enemies, and that makes her a little outclassed by Spellblade, but Thief still great, and can still at least do very fast chip damage against said magic enemies. Just make sure to provide some power upgrades to make up for her low base damage (1).
Warrior: while enemies who are weak against weapon damage is common, only having weapon for offence makes warrior very much outclassed by both Thief and Spellblade, making her only really all too useful for support. Thankfully for Warrior, she is fine at this, since she has the highest base speed of any support character, which is something that will make her stand out over every other support character.
Priestess: faith isnât all to great as an offensive option, as the Milk Dragon is the only enemy that is weak to it and nothing else, meaning while she isnât exactly outclassed offensively, Priestess is still usually only used for a support option. Compared to other support characters, Priestess is the slowest, but has a slightly higher base damage. I also find that heal is often more useful than shield, so she beats Warrior and Knight in that way as well. For offence, her high range does also still allow Priestess to do things that other characters canât.
Witch: Witch is currently in a very awkward position. She used to be one of the best characters in the game with her AOE and base damage, and just some support behind her. However, now that illusionist has been released, Witch is now nothing but outclassed. Every other character has at least SOMETHING going for them, but not witch now. The only thing she has going for is having the highest base damage is the game (4) and her favourite food (candy) is more convenient for her attack type, however, both of these are just convenient, as illusionist can still make both of these irrelevant with upgrades. Right now, I very much feel that Witch needs a buff to stay relevant. I think she needs to get a second attack type, as right now, she only has magic, so she doesnât have a support option, and there are now much better magic options in Spellblade for very fast single target damage and the previously mentioned illusionist. I think giving her the faith attack type makes enough sense to give her and it will very much help Witch stand out, as she currently doesnât very well. Witch is not bad, just very outclassed.
Bard: easily the best support in the game, but canât attack to do actual damage. This is fine, as support is very important in ETD, so the only downside to using Bard is that youâll need to have all four offensive types on 3 characters. However, this isnât at all hard to do, and wonât even matter in some levels, as in some levels, you might only need 1, 2, or 3 different attack types. Overall, Bard is great, and itâs rare that I found myself not using her. Also, Bard actually has a somewhat decent synergy with the Strength Potion item.
Spellblade: weapon and magic are easily the most common offensive types that enemies are weak to, and Spellblade has both of them. This makes Spellblade one of the best characters in the game. From this, there are surprisingly few levels that she canât just straight up solo. Spellblade is tied with Thief for the fastest base speed in the game, however, she definitely needs some power upgrades similar to Thief to reach her max potential (more so than other characters).
Knight: when she was first released, there was little reason to use Knight. Offensively, She was outclassed by Priestess due to range and damage, and for support, she was fine, but still not much to make her stand out, if at all. Thankfully, sheâs been buffed since then. Now, Knight has a small AOE, but a small loss of speed. The speed loss was worth it however, as it wasnât a significant amount, and now while thereâs still reasons to use Priestess over Knight, but thereâs also now reasons to use Knight over Priestess. Knight is faster, and can attack two enemies at once, and Priestess has a slight higher base damage and a higher range, but can only attack one enemy at once.
illusionist: the newest character added to ETD, and is possibly the best character in the game right now. Her strengths are her attack types, magic, which most enemies are weak to, and sneak, which gives an option other than Thief, and means she can do more damage than Witch. However, illusionistâs biggest strength by far is her absolutely massive AOE attack. illusionistâs can attack the entire room of enemies at once, something that no other character can possibly do. Her weaknesses by far are her base stats. She has the lowest base damage in the game (0), and is by far the slowest character. However, both of these weaknesses donât matter very much. The low damage can be made irrelevant with strength upgrades, and the low speed can be amended with support. Her favourite food, meat, also isnât very good for a mostly magical attacker, but thatâs just an inconvenience that can be gotten around.
Apologies, but out of curiosity may I ask when the next class poll is planned? 'Cause I think it was originally scheduled to be every three months.
the world map would be big change cause of a chance of
âsecret levelsâ
Maybe an idea for that is to allow certain monsters to flee or perhaps completing the level in a fast enough time will reveal a special type of monster to fight, which could then lead to other levels.
Man i LOVED this game, but when will the last three characters get new fat levels? If iâm not wrong the first 5 have 3⌠uhhh⌠âlevelsâ? but the Spellblade, the Knight and the Illusionist only have two.
Also, does the game save itâs progress?
Game saves automatically, via âcookiesâ, I think. Could be wrong.

The knight will be getting her second set of weight levels and spellblade her third (?) in this set of updates. (not sure why spellblade is crossed out, we only have her first 2 weight level sets atm) Probably after the ui update. In the next set will be the third set for the knight and 2nd for illusionist, and in the one after that the 3rd for the illusionist and 9th adventurer. In other words, new adventurers are introduced with one set of weight levels in one set of updates, are given their second in the following update set, and the third in the one after that.
