I’m not sure how I feel about autoattack, I’ll have to think about it some more.
Blacknight125 is right, this is easier than building a new AOE type
Shugoki is right, the Raider’s special thing is being the fastest unit in the game.

Yes, but Shugoki also raised the argument of only being able to attack as fast as one’s hand can move, so I’m still not sure if Raider would be all too good from being outclassed by the “slower” Thief and SpellBlade. Only having 1 element to do anything with is very rough, and why I think Witch is so outclassed by SpellBlade and Illusionist.
So, idk who is and isn’t a patron here, but I’m interested in some patron opinions: does it make more sense to vote for a class with more submitted designs, or fewer? Because fewer entries means easier voting, but more entries means a better chance for a REALLY good option.
Anyway, idk if anyone cares, but here’s my thoughts on the class choices. I know fuck all about colors or small details, since I’m not a patron, so I’ll only go on a character’s place in the meta and the silhouettes we have.
Life of B(arba)rian
Lots of buff women, it looks like. I’m ok with that, but we already have Warrior, so I don’t think it’s super important. I love how there’s a bunch of fucking Amazons and then just this really short one in the middle, though. I kinda want her to win so we can have this volatile shortstack. As for her attack type/pattern, she’ll be meta for sure. We have no physical AoE characters.
Owl Cum Mist
Lots of monster girls here. There’s a goblin, whom I think the original submitter shared here, maybe? And on her right is either a thicc chick or just a chick with big boots. The rest just don’t look appealing from the silhouette alone. Alchemist probs won’t be too strong, given the history of “hybrid” characters, but her range may save her–though, if you want ranged magic damage, she’s likely not your gal.
Ranger Things
Looks like there’s a few neat ones. I think that’s a harpy on the right, and I love the idea of a character who normally flies, but gets too fat to do so at some point. Or just inexplicably continues to fly. Her range will give her a unique place in team comps.
Return to Monk
A good selection. I’m not one for slimes, but I think we could do with some more robed dungeoneers. Not much to say, it’s hard to call without seeing the actual art. She’ll definitely be viable, although I forget how common holy/stealth enemies are, so she may be relegated to a few levels.
American (Dru)idiot
The tall one at right looks the most interesting. I know shortstacks would be nice, but we don’t have any lanky characters, and I think that’d be just as interesting. Still, some hopeful prospects here. I’m not sold on the spider, though. She’ll likely outcompete Witch for her dual-type damage and compete with Illusionist.
Raid: Shadow Fatfucks
Hey, isn’t this one new? Out of 2 of these, I dunno what the fresh fuck I’m looking at. The last one’s a gobbo, so I’m down for her. I don’t really expect her to be very strong because Thief and SB are super fast as they are. She may be helpful in some bonus rounds, I guess? But until she gets super duper fat, I won’t even be able to move my hand fast enough for her speed to matter over her competitors. Plus, she’s melee, so she’ll compete with Barb, who will be able to attack the entire column at once, which will generally outcompete Raider’s speed.
I’m also gonna give my whole responses to each class choice that we have for this poll:
Barbrarian
90% Human from the looks of things, with what I think is a elf, but I can’t be sure. The attack range is useful at least, but from what I remember from the devstreams I saw there’s not many designs here that stand out to me.
Alacamist
While we’re sadly way too oversaturated with magic users currently, the designs here look neat, especially the Chimera and from what I can tell a sorta Imp like creature? Another Single target buffer isn’t bad though, and this one can at least attack.
Distancer
Really, the stand-out designs here are the Foxxo and Harpy, and considering how far in the lead the class is in the poll it’s most likely that once it’s down to the character poll those two will be in far leads. That and we do need Ranged weapon damage.
Ey
The Demon and the Undine-looking one are the two I see that stand out from the bunch. However I’ll admit that due to having an AOE Sneak damager with Illusionist I don’t think we really need Monk right now, though fast holy damage is a good point, however…
Nature
These designs are just… Great. All of them have something that would make me not mind them winning. and having AOE Holy damage is a plus considering the closest we have to that is Knight.
Angy
A sort of lizard or something, a Woof, and a gobby. While sadly I’ll admit that the designs are so far good, I will concur that the whole “Speedy Weapon damage” is already handled well with the Spellblade, Warrior, and Thief, and two of those have a second damage type. So unless the Raider has some sort of niche to them, I highly doubt there will be a point choosing the class.
let’s see:
Barbarian and Ranger has 8 adventurers
Alchemist and Monk has 6 adventurers
Druid has 5 adventurers And Raider has 3 adventurers
Alchemist has the power up logo, we need more power up adventurers, but if we see the art of the adventurers, maybe we will see who to pick.
At lower weights, I agree with this. But since the fat penalty is based off the base timer, it means the raider will still be very fast at high weights without having to invest in the speed stat, so you can focus on power or other stats.
Are there any error messages when you open up the console with CTRL+SHIFT+I?
Do we have enough of each type to fill a party with them?
Ok, but where will she be in the game? Because if Raider gets added to a point after Engineer, I would assume that most players will stick with the Spellblade that they already leveled up, since they do more-or-less the same job, and one can only click so fast. Besides, if I have Engineer, then I don’t need my attacking characters to be heavy for free damage since I have an infinite cooldown loop that buffs the party’s attack and shields, so I would rather have either board-wiping characters (Illusionist, or Barbarian when she gets added) or fast single-target characters that don’t need a buffer to cool them off. Right now I am running Bard, Illusionist, Engineer, Spellblade, and my Spellblade is at 0 weight and 0 metabolism so she can attack as often as possible and not get slowed down throughout the mission. And Raider doesn’t look like she would be of any use compared to Spellblade in a party like that, since Raider is down a damage type and I can only click so fast. However, in early game, where weight is hard to avoid and hard to get rid of, a character that can ignore it for a little while might be pretty nice. So whether or not Raider is worthwhile entirely depends on when in the game you get her.
Do I spy a vixen in the middle of the Raiders?
You do not. Ya want a fox, there’s a Kitsune in the Ranger lineup, third from the left.
Been hoping for her for a while now, as the world could always use another fat vix.
I would like to add if the raider could have the same aoe pattern as the knight as it could bump her viability by a bit, as I think as the knight as healing/attacking unit is decent a both but not great either, but giving this attacking pattern to the raider would give her a edge over thief/SB. This just a thought as raider could eventually be the fastest unit in the game. Also, aoe physical is lacking in the game so this change could be welcomed
there does seem to be something that shares similar features to a fox type character in raiders, but it could be any kind of pointed ear animal with a fluffy tail
She’s a Wolf. Specifically an ex-slave, designed by Happensmaker. Drawn on-stream fairly recently.
In which case, we need a Ranger. Then we can have someone else.
Why? Uhh… Because…
(racks brains for a valid reason why a kitsune ranger is better than all of the others)
Because fox.

If Raider is more of a Fury fighter, then dealing little damage to two targets could be explained. They could just be aiming for the first target, and end up overshooting from sheer enthusiasm and end up crashing into another enemy.
Oh, no doubt in my mind that she’s going to win, but there’s a WIDE variety of designs in that class. The one to the Kitrune’s left is a turret-using Hologram, akin in design to Cortana, silhouette to her right is a Troll with a massive spear, a wraith is second from the right, stereotypical ‘what ho’ explorer’s to the far left…
I don’t plan on changing the Raider’s stat line for now, but if after release she proves to be ineffective then I’ll revisit her. I think giving her the Knight’s pierce AOE is a good idea, I would probably start with that.
A wolf? Well then, that is interesting. About the only thing that’d take my attention off a fatsune, would be some nice wolfat.
