do you need to get it at a certain time? i checked and all it says is that the contents were stolen
You can only get it if your in the Nanette quest line when she asks for it. Otherwise you can’t get it
I think level 40 is the max you need to see all current sizes. Using the Mercy point bug, I kept spamming Blueberry cakes for quite a while - to level 50 and a bit beyond - but nothing seemed to change anymore.
40 is the current cap for sprite sizes for the player, rumia, and rachel. 30ish is the cap for every other character besides Jamie, whose current cap is at 23.
It’s all good, I know my ‘puzzles’ only really make sense to me, haha.
everytime i eat the guy who gives the double burger if i had eaten him and rumia already been eaten it gives me a item without a name and if i use the item it freezes the game. It only lets you use in battle and then it soft lock freeze where you can push buttons but it wont work anything.
Oh shit, good catch! I deleted that item in the last patch, because I no longer had a use for it… I’m sorry about the softlocks! It’ll be fixed in the next version. For now, just ignore the item.
when leaving the mob hideout the screen keeps the dark effect.
I loved the update, the new sprites and and flavor text for reaching the new sizes was great. I kind of hope the mercy point bug stays as it kind of helps getting to the higher levels without having to grind for it, with the new encounter rates being lower then prior builds really helps in that regard
Don’t know how I missed that, thanks.
@GrimRyu Sadly, the mercy point bug had to be patched, although I’m constantly looking for ways to lessen the grind. At least, ways that aren’t instant “gain five levels.” But I’m happy you liked it! And the flavor text is a lot of fun to write, especially when it’s couched in a clear personality/ body type.
What i thought of the new update in better detail:
-
Gameplay wise, while phase 1 and the intro hasn’t changed that much since the start and while i do not mind the Update to mercy made perfect sense however it would be nice to have areas or dungeons in phase 1 were enemy encounters were more frequent.
-
the new playable characters… lets go over with the first one, cool to see a Spell casting type of character and the other… well he is unique i’ll say that but with how much he relies on the other character for both of them to be much more effective is a good idea that needs a bit more refinement.
-
Phase 2 overall is off to a nice start, i think you do need to specify which enemy types are going to show up in which area now though as having the new enemies mixed with old is understandable but brutal early on in phase 2 (20-30) making it an utter chore to grind for levels especially when in the center of town
-
A few ideas:
- It doesn’t make sense for a whole group to be on the pent house floor considering how much all of them weigh and are planning to get fatter so perhaps in future have a apartment made that is clarity on sweet apartment that takes an entire wing on the ground floor
- I haven’t done much of Rumia story in the game but it would be cool to learn more about Mike and perhaps have another student character join durring phase 2
- Have special GAIN and Cult vendors for the party to buy and sell (especially get a few vendors you can sell to in phase 2)
Thanks for the write-up! I’ll try to address your points without showing my whole hand…
*Now that I’ve got some dungeon logic, or at least, know-how to make a dungeon, I could probably throw an early-game dungeon or two into Phase 1. To be honest, the dungeons were a means of creating ‘gameplay content’ without much story content, so I kinda needed them to justify the Phase 2 update, at least in my head. I’m also terrified of doing too much to Phase 1 which is currently 'working-and-doesn’t-break-often", if you know what I mean.

Both characters are definitely far from complete, designwise. Stats aside, Charity is identical to Nanette iirc. Then again, I’d say none of the existing characters are anywhere close to done, unfortunately. As for the latter, it’s a very weird design, I’ll admit, but it’s also very much part of the joke if they aren’t too effective in the end.

Enemies are a mess. The spawns will be adjusted for sure.
As for your ideas…
- The penthouse will not be permanent, though I do like your suggestion there!
- The next content update will have Academy stuff.
- GAIN and Cult benefits are/were planned, but I spent so much time working out systems and design stuff that I was unable to get to it. In general, I’m not hugely certain how to make the economy of the game work, I’ll admit. And vendors kinda need a planned out economy.
Can you explain what you did to get past Charity and Grace arguing with the blocked off gas station area? I’m at the same part and I don’t know how to continue.
I’d also like to add that I can’t mercy enemies. The option is there, but it’s grey and unusable for me.
oh you have to use the ability out of combat then select which group of captives you want to use and how many
perhaps:
GAIN
- offers consumables that increase your stats BUT also has a chance to reduce your level. chance increases the more you use the consumables. if the chance is higher than 100% it has a chance to reduce two levels instead of just one,
- offers various weapons that add attacks to the physical category,
- EXTRACT - a alternate to mercy, caught plumpers (and above) can have their weight drained and converted to calories (more than you would get by eating them) but it does cost money.
- DONATE - another alternate to mercy, donates a caught enemy to GAIN in exchange for money
CULT
- offers item transmutation: the ability to turn two items into a stronger one.
- offers various weapons that add spells to the special category.
- SUMMON - a alternate to mercy, 5 caught enemies of one tier can be sacrificed to summon a (temporary) demon to help in battle, persists for three battles or until you rest. the weight tier of the sacrifice determines the size of the demon, and thus their power.
- PERMA SUMMON - a permanent version of summon, 10 caught enemies of each tier can be sacrificed to gain a new demon party member, starts at level one. spell focused, well rounded weight. once PERMA SUMMON is used, SUMMON and PERMA SUMMON become unavailable (unless this party member is lost in any way)
now, some bugs ive noticed:
- some giant enemies (such as heft housewife or greater underfed) dont give fatty/blob tier consumables
- nanette has her stage 2 sprite when in the apartment
- same with phoebe
- likely due to not being finished yet, but party members dont appear in the apartment or penthouse. makes getting more insta meals from dungeons worthless
- also likely due to not being finished yet, but the fat fairy does not appear next to the gas station or in the school
- going to the apartment mirror and putting on underwear reverts kui to her fatty sprite
and finally some ideas:
- as long as they are still uneaten, each party member from chapter 1 has their counterpart become avalible in chapter 2. however they do need to be swapped out with their counterpart. (such as, you cant have both rumia and rachel in at the same time)
- a more forgiving transition to from part 1 to 2. every time you rest you gain the option to swap over to part 2, but the party has a level cap of 20.
- if you dont chose to join either faction in part 2, instead of a battle the two will just wait by the hotel “incase you change your mind”.
- along with that, siding with neither allows you to join the mob, they offer GUN, a weapon that replaces smalltalk (x1.5 damage, 15% chance to miss). thats it. siding with the mob will also trigger the fight with the GAIN and CULT member.
Yep, I was confused at first since I was used to the old version of mercy where you used it in combat to let enemies escape to earn the points.
Any clues on this? I’ve checked all of the areas and I have no idea what to do to progress to Phase 2.
get the MC to level 20
