Oh, thanks. Sorry for getting the topic filled up with my comments.
Those are some neat ideas for GAIN and the Cult, I might use some of that! I will say that I’m averse to anything like equipment (e.g., weapons) just because I’m trying to keep it, uh, simple. Simple-ish.
re: bugs, as far as items, yeah, I hadn’t gotten around to eventing the response dialogue for using said items, so I left those out this build.
The apartment/penthouse are messy for similar reasons–I wanted to have the party dialogue ready first, and it t’wasn’t. But good catch on the underwear sprite! I’d totally forgotten it.
And finally, for your other ideas… Well, specifically, the first point: I intend to have the party members you didn’t recruit show up as enemies in the endgame, so that’s probably off the table. Maybe.
You’re good, man! There’s nothing wrong with someone asking for help in a game’s thread.
so i went into a dungeon and no red orb to get out. i tried to kill all cultist to see if it would appear. but no luck help needed
It’s a cult dungeon, and not a GAIN dungeon? As far as I can tell, the exit orbs should always spawn.
Great update so far:clap: but i got charity up to gluttony lvl 50 so do i need to go further to get her for the fatty size 2?
I’m just popping in for this report, so ignore me if it’s already been mentioned: you forgot to undarken the screen upon exiting the mob zone
sadly check very inch of cult dungeon cnt get out
That’s extremely odd. Post a screenshot, if you could?
Thanks! And the highest cap was for the player, roommate, and rachel at 40, so you’re very past the threshold for current sprite sizes (everyone else’s cap is like 30ish).
The next update will bring parity for everyone else.
I was made aware of it earlier, but thanks anyway! There’s no harm in pointing out bugs, because lord, there will be bugs.
fair on the weapons, and sounds interesting for the endgame bosses. but just want to clarify that for the mob idea (and the cult and GAIN duo battle change), its more of a joke idea (but still would be funny)
as for the transition from part 1 or 2, any planned changes to that? right now i think the swap can be a bit too unforgiving if the rest of your party is around level 13-18, or for new players who are going in blind and are have not seen all their choices for party members yet. perhaps there could be some form of warning if you hit level 19 and still have unfinished buisness or your party is too far behind. such as “you feel a big change coming, perhaps you should focus on your party members some more?” or “you feel a big change coming, perhaps you should explore some more?”
How the hell are you supposed to escape the prison without dying?!?
Seeing the above comment I also want to ask about the prison, if you start a new game and do the skip to phase 2 with the pre picked team you can talk to an npc and find out that the other possible team mate you didn’t get is in the prison but I couldn’t see how to get there any help on that matter?
I also tried to play this version again in lioness mode, and I positive that it says at the start that party members may eat Kui if they’re higher level then her and you don’t feed them, but I find that they just eat her anyway if you don’t feed them regardless of levels. Is this intended or just a bug for this version? Because, boy lioness mode is one heck of a hard mode, you have to make sure you have food at all times and if you go to digest to get a party heal and anyone levels up, you got to keep them fed or its game over
how does one get to the prison to find the new character
If you’re in combat for too long with a gain enemy’ they’ll take you into the gain prison
i can’t recommend going the gain route in act 2. just lost 3 hours of game play because the exit didn’t spawn in the cultist dungeon
oh hell, you’re the second person who’s said that now. I’ve glanced at 'em, but have been unable to figure out which one is breaking without going deep, which I haven’t gotten around to… which map were you on? There’s a ‘square’ one (mazey), a ‘round’ one (basically 4 chambers) and a ‘void’ one (different floor textures)… Do you know which one it was?
I’m so, so sorry by the way.
That’s not been implemented yet, unfortunately. Working on it!
I’m the first person that had that issue I did a test. It happens occasionally on the dungeon where the top section is made of a glass walkway
