I’m definitely still mulling over the execution. It’s meant to force the player to make decisions, in the same way the exclusive party members are meant to, but it’s just not there yet.
Also, the means by which it occurs has broken the game so so so many times. Phase 3, which is already being planned, will end with a more traditional boss encounter.
I’d recommend Writing.com archive viewer to check out stories on that. Sometimes needs a reload, but I got it to work with FeF perfectly. It even auto-expands single-choice selections into a full page until you reach an actual fork.
got soft locked in the game before i could progress. i was at lvl 19 w Kui and everytime i tried to complete the bakery i’d get to lvl 20 and put into the 2nd act. would’ve been nice if i could choose to go into it like the last versions. too underleveled to defeat the demon as well

I can’t use betrayal tokens for some reason. I’m trying to get someone to eat the roommate to make room for Sheila, but it just tells me that I need 3 betrayal tokens even though I have 6

Love the game. I’ve had various bugs but the only one I’ve run into that I don’t see reported yet is I got Agent Skein and Prishka (or her sister, sorry it was 3am when I delt with them) to level 40 and they never sized up. I see in the files that Skein has 2 more sizes and Prishka has 1 so I don’t know if them not sizing up is intentional.
Thanks! That worked, except I can’t figure out how it works. If I talk to Priya and tell her to eat Rumia, it says Rumia levelled up, but if I do it the other way round it still says that Rumia levelled up.
EDIT: I tried to get Kui to eat Rumia and got told “you can’t eat yourself”, but getting Nanette to eat Rumia worked. Weird

Loving the update so far, great work as usual! A handful of minor bugs I’ve found, and one major one:
The major one is that I’m back at Phase 1 again despite being at lvl 26; no idea how that happened, just walked out of the inn and there were all the old NPCs and enemy spawns again. Any idea how I’d get back into Phase 2?
Priya and her sister are all over the place. I fed the sister, only to have her immediately eaten once entering the school, and Priya goes into rage mode (I didn’t recruit her). I later found a happy Priya in the student council room saying she just got a text from her sister, who I then found in the school alongside rage-mode Priya. Where’s the cloning vat?
Also, there’s that weak fence outside the farm that says I can probably break it from the top. Does this mean I need a top-heavy character in my party? I thought Phoebe counted, does she not (I did let the blue-haired girl go…)?

You might be stuck in phase one for now.
I’ll add a backup phase transfer to account for that…
As for the fencing, it’s a bit more literal, in that you just need to knock them over from above.
The way to do that should work though.

Yes. Off the top of my head, several of the early game characters have at 50, and also maybe charity

Well, on the one hand, 0.5 was a massive rehauling of base systemic stuff, so that was an unavoidable refresh.
In theory, future content should be more additive.
On the other hand… I do make dumb choices that tweak early game values that cause things to break, and ‘phase 2’ is far from done, so stuff in that will change.
But I also don’t expect to have another content update any time soon (for a few months) so ymmv on that front. 0.5 took a lot out of me.

On the plus side, I got to capture a lot more skinnies in the meantime! It’s tough to find 30 of those buggers in Phase 2 for… whatever the scientist wants them for.
