Hey, good work rolling out the bug fix version so fast. Have to say, I really like the Jamie/Mike psuedo sidequest to use his hidden function and get that bigger better eating ability. That’s a really cool bit of player choice to make, whether to retain the old ability on Jamie or get the new one. Would developing something like that for the other characters be in the cards, you think? Some sorta sidequest that involves them reaching some minimum level and getting a bit more story with the character? Maybe ending in a choice that lets you retain the old weakness spotted ability, or give that up to get the new devour skill, or something of similar power? Could be a decision that has to do with showing some restraint in some fashion, as opposed to giving more into their hunger.
It’s a little bit up in the air at the moment. For example, the next obvious choice for such a scenario would be Phoebe, but part of Phoebe’s shtick is that despite everything, she’ll never actually harm Jeff.
I do intend for every main party member to have a quest/sequence spinning out of their support conversations with Kui, that acts as a sort of coda to their character arc (to make up for them not gaining support buffs with her) but that’s very vague and “far” in the future right now.
There’s also the matter that this sort of binary personality focus (restraint vs gluttony) is vaguely the way the game’s endings will play out once I get there. So it becomes a case of how granular I want the endings to be. (Although that’s again quite far in the future).
Okaybso I recruited Pirya before paying off the penthouse, do I need to see the support conversation before confrontingthe guard on the new dusan character or can I just got right at her?
Well, the scenarios can be as straightforward and simplistic or nonsensical as you want it. Top of my head, Phoebe gluts herself to such an extreme she has to sleep it off, and while that happens some other lady gets Jeff while Phoebe is out cold. If you’d rather Phoebe does eat Jeff, maybe she could accidentally eat him while she is in that food coma. Given how absentminded she can be she might not even realize and Kui could tell her that Jeff just left to go take care of their daughters or something.
Speaking of their daughters, you could also have Jeff not get eaten in any scenario, maybe Phoebe wants to go check on her girls and something happens with them.
Or, hell, you can pull from the original story and have a daughter from the future show up and go from there. I don’t know how much you want to pull from the uh, “original canon”, so it could just as easily be some alternate future or something where Kui fails in… preventing (causing?) whatever horrible future.
I dunno if you’re even open to the idea of any of that time travel stuff that got introduced because that is a whole can of worms, but for as light hearted as the story is and how many jokes there are, I don’t think it’d be too out of left field.
@anon82487891 You’ll need to support first.
@timestimes That’s very true! And, without tipping my hand, I’ll admit there will be a shenanigan payoff for Phoebe and Jeff, in the/an end, that does have basis from the original. I’ll… consider things, haha.
Aint gonna lie, I kinda like Jeff’s character in an ironic sense XD
Though I am interested in where penny’s and charity’s paths ahead, given they are the more…I guess sinister is the term I am looking for
How do i put my saves from the 7.0.0 folder in the 7.0.1 folder, so that i may continue with my progresses but without the guard bug
@herokero susan is still not obtainable, you just walk through her sprite when it asks for you to talk with her
aw heck.
actually, just checked. You can still recruit her, you just can’t walk into her and stop. You need to space yourself correctly when you approach; if you hit the interact/confirm/action/“z” key while next to her, you can still talk to her. Noted, and fixed on my end.
Aight I’ll try it chief!
Aw yeah it works now
I wouldn’t recommend it this time, with how buggy the initial release was, but there should be a folder marked “save” in the “www” folder of the original extracted game.
I think you just copy it into the same folder in the new version.
I escaped the prison and I’m in the cult temple, how do i get out of here?
That’s the end of the content thus far, unfortunately. The side characters being in phase 2 and there being a base for each faction means I couldn’t make too much for phase 3 for this update. The next content update will reuse maps and be shared between all three factions, though, so it shouldn’t be nearly as long to wait… hopefully?
I wish to report an error, at level 10, I was unable to go to the suburb to then go to the farm to release the cowgirl. Also, when I tried equipping Kui with undergarments, she just disappeared from the screen thus causing a system crash error.
That should be fixed with the bugfix build
So I tried entering the bakery after having recruited Polly, but it tells me to ‘finish the delivery’. Is it a bug for this to happen?
Interesting glitch you can pull off.
If Rachel is in the party in Phase 2, but you DON’T do her tutorial about working until you get a full party, you can have her…eat herself. Does lose her permanently, but you still can have her work.
Also the rules regarding party size is still confusing because of glitches. Ming can be recruited with a full squad, but not Priya. I understand the decision to incentivize eating your own teammates for more content, but its a bit frustrating to not know the full extent of the rules.
Also no, you didn’t fix the MC panty glitch.
I will tell you now, just don’t have filenames in spaces/underlines in them. It gets weird once RPGMaker encrypts the files.
@Villainova that’s definitely a glitch.
@PlusParsnips ugh, point taken. I’ll mess with the filenames next chance. And then I’ll do another go over re:party sizes and recruit limits.
