Fatty Farm Flipper: A game about running a ranch and fattening anthro animals

If you don’t mind scalies, snakes are often milked for their venom and people in the Southern US also farm Gators.

I mean … he aint wrong. I mainly ignore rpg maker games, cause 9/10 times its just rpg maker with fat sprites, but gameplay wise its just generic rpgmaker gameplayloop

I’m very intrigued. I think you’ve got something here. I’m curious how “dark” you’ll actually make the game; is it going to be left to the player’s imagination what happens to the animals when they’re sold, or if that will be made more explicit when the game gets developed out? The latter would actually be up my alley, honestly. It would also be a good vector for town development and quest unlocking, where certain thresholds of animal tonnage, products or crops sold/grown would unlock things. Like, say, 5 max-size cows, 10 max-size chickens and 100 potatoes sold would invite a McDonalds knock-off to the market, or there would be a fox NPC that shows up once all coop slots are filled with at least stage 2 chickens, or some such.

But yeah, I’m excited.

I might try the game a bit more before I post more thoughts and some bug reports.

Alright, here goes:

  1. (Gamefeel): It is remarkably tedious to navigate RPG Maker menus for crop management as well as livestock feeding. Do you think you could find a plug-in that might fix that?
  2. (Bug?): Once you’ve grown a crop by advancing the days/watering them, after harvesting them, you can continually plant and immediately reharvest that specific crop forever.
  3. (Bug?): Certain animals say the wrong things when spoken to (such as a sheep saying “bok”).
  4. (Gamefeel): It would be nice if the game stopped you from harvesting a crop when you’d already maxed out your inventory limit. Might I suggest either using a plug-in to increase that limit, or maybe shunt the harvested crops over to a variable rather than an inventory item?

Also, what version of RPG Maker are you using?

Just played the little test demo thing, loving the spritework in this, really tickled a funny spot in my brain, especially the cow ones! Plus, I’m a big fan of farming sim games so yeah, big win

I think using regular animals for sexual fetish stuff will go over about as well as the games that put minors in them(they are banned from the site).

iirc feral isn’t against the rules here or even acknowledged by said rules. As long as we keep real zoophilia off of this site, it should be fine.

I am currently debating whether I should remove one of the middle weight stages for animals, making it 1-6 instead of 1-7 so I can include three animal variations in a single event tile, seeing as events are capped at only 20 pages

The final, “biggest” size for animals will still be kept in, I just don’t know whether I should do this or not

(Yes, biggest is in quotations because I have plans for a certain, new building in the future)

I do have plans for scalies

personally i’d say more stages is better than less

I’d wonder if it wouldn’t be more prudent to make more buildings and just separate the animals out into their own buildings, rather than make different animals share the same event, if you specifically had to choose.

Also, I wonder if you might be able to do something with the “Set Movement Route: Change Image…” event command. While it might not be the cleanest/most straightforward option, it would allow you to use your If/Else branches to set different sprites within the same event page.

Do you have plans for the player eventually get an actual human/other character model, or will they stay as a blank figure? If so, I have an inkling most people would prefer a female character, especially if player wg is added later down the track.

I hope there will be more stages in the future, but without putting pressure on them. I also love making WG get out of control, but I’m sure not everyone likes it.

Curiosity’s sake, Droopey: How do you feel about people poking around in your project? I’ve felt oddly inspired by the premise of your game to learn how to use javascript in RPG Maker.

Edit, to restate: If you want help with some rudimentary javascript, I’d be happy to help in some capacity.

Boss, the fact i didn’t see this post 10 days ago is a crime, this ticks a lot of my boxes
The art work is fantastic

My intrusive thoughts won. So I will put just one more nail in the coffin by saying add vore (or well no.)

the smiley sprite feels out of place, have you considered if a cute anthro shows you around?
And maybe if the player ish an anthro too, you and the guide could chance gaining weight from say, clogging an over productive cow with your mouth before they flood the building.

The test bed is probably one of the strangest things Ive experienced in a while, feels very ethereal and creepy especially with the big smiley face in the corner.

and sort of respect the absolutely deranged entry into the forums here
