FC Pregmod Wgmod Update (Oct 2024)

Sorry if this isn’t the right place to put it but is there a way to get this mod working with the new ai art setting? Just spent an age figuring out how to get it to work and I’ve now realized I have seemingly no way to run it while using the wg mod

with the way i made it i would have to manually update it, which honestly wouldnt be very difficult, but to be honest im just busy and not very interested in that at the moment. i saw the other comments talking about creating a mod that actually works with the mod function already in fc. however, i am not a very good coder. in fact, i am basically a monkey on a typewriter. it was beyond me when i tried it.

that being said, if you felt like taking the time to take apart and cross reference the code of the mod with the code for the most recent version you could probably bang out your own version just by copying and pasting the relevant code to the relevant files and altering it as need be. time consuming? yes, incredibly. but not difficult.

eventually, ill probably update this myself whenever i get in the mood for it again/theres enough meaningful updates for fc.

but i have no idea when that will actually be lmao

Thanks for replying :0 its all good I was just checking in case there was something I missed because me am not tech savy. Would be unreasonable to demand an update especially for a mod that’s been so good already. Thanks for the advice on how to do it manually although just the sound of it gives me flashbacks to trying to do coursework with r code so ill probably just keep enjoying the mod as is (thanks for the mods)

The guy who coded all the ai code actually demanded they remove loli content from the game, and they did, but via a single like variable that anyone/everyone can just toggle back on if they want :stuck_out_tongue:

Heh. Not very well “removed” now, is it = P I’m on the Alpha 31 build of 4.0.0 and it’s… no more complicated to access Lolis than it ever was.

Unless that was changed with Alpha 32…

currently working on an update to this. im shy so it might take a bit for me to upload it even after its finished <3 i wanna make sure nothing with it is wonky and that im satisfied with it

It’s been updated! Get it while it’s hot! File is available from the original post. Let me know if anything is weird or broken or anything etc. This is basically magic to me so I might’ve missed some things. Old saves SHOULD work after applying the Backwards Compatibility update.

okay, how do I run this? I keep opening the bat compile thing but nothing happens.

I only download this mod btw, do I need to download the OG normal game?

Hello, how new is this? We have 4.0.0-alpha.33 as latest.

the chromium launcher is stored in bin, for some reason the FChost onboarded is the mac version so you cant use that if you are on PC, got to download the PC version from github then drop the chromium launcher into FChost if you want to play it with less lag and a long term save

I am unable to start the game. I get an error message whenever I try to take control of the Arcology.

I got the mod to work; nothing differs from the base game. Is there a certain mod I need to enable? Or are the steps from the old version now different?<
The max slave weight is still 200, you can’t gain past immobility and the descriptions aren’t new either.
A list of changes you have made would be great so I can look for them.

it doesn’t do any of that (yet). to enable it you need to go to the options and enable it. it’s right under the catmod. can’t remember which menu that’s in, and I can’t check as I’m on my phone atm, but it should be easy enough to find.

mainly the mod just adds a quirk derived from the gluttonous flaw that’s not fitness and a mobility gene therapy similar to the rapid cell growth one that prevents slaves from becoming immobile (under most circumstances) while also preventing them from suffering negative health from their weight. it’s not much, but if the only thing preventing you from enjoying free cities was that the only quirk from gluttonous was fitness and that your fat slaves had huge health and mobility penalities then this is the mod for you.

I would like to add more features in the future, and I already have some ideas on how to implement them, but I thought that it would be a good idea to post a working version of the basic stuff I already have done before I start working on something more complicated.

I swear everytime I play this I get worse :sweat_smile:

Sometimes I feel like I’m doing well but then suddenly everything will fall apart. Just recently I was doing well with the Hedonistic Lifestyle thing, until I lost a bunch of money which seemed to reverse all progress and after that I couldn’t get the Lifestyle to STAY, they kept rejecting it despite being accepting…

I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

Anyway, as a side note, I actually have some ideas for furthering things with the Player character in terms of adhering to Hedontistic ideals. Not sure if you would be interested in hearing me out but hit me up if you do. I’d be interested to try and add something but have no idea how to.

This was what you needed to raise the max weight 2 years ago but I have no idea how it’s changed or how to make it work for all of the future or whatnot

As for losing the hedonism future society, the only reason I could imagine that happening is because the competing arcology took the opposite society, which would be physical idealism. You’ll notice this is the right arcology because they’ll have a lot of future societies and are more prosperous than the other arcologies.

To combat this you could pick up the cultural defensiveness policy or you could buy out the other arcologies and force them to abandon physical idealism.

As for your money issues, there are some weekly events that can permanently increase your upkeep, you can breakdown what exactly is causing this in the cost budget screen under the others tab.

That might explain things, I was not paying much attention to the other Arcologies.

To be honest, I really need to learn to play the game right… I tend to just go hard trying to max out the decadence and forget there is actually a LOT going on in machanically.
Damn game has a learning curve like Dwarf Fortress :rofl:
