will we be able to pick a body type or will it be neat system where you gain based off what you eat

im really interested to see where this will go as for my own personal request maybe the ability to take up “jobs” (as in eating spesific food thats provided by the client) on camera

This all looks fantastic! I really like how the model looks and I’m excited to see where you take this. I know you said there would be limited customization like different hair styles, but were you planning on doing anything more? I mean like hair color, eye color, or even skin tone?

Devlog update

Sadly can’t show many things, but I decided to post some work in progress update anyway :slight_smile:

Currently I mostly focused on establishing rigging/animation pipeline and technical render side stuff,
followed by models for house and actual game mechanics

Things I’ve done so far

  • Main character model tweaks: topology, geometry, face features, texturing
  • Blend shape pipeline research: creating shapes, transfering shapes to clothes, other unity technical stuff
  • stomach and intestine systems aka digestive system: backend for consuming food overtime, with some buff system in mind
  • Some environment models for kitchen
  • Character shaders and post-effect

Yeah. It’s precomputed: SSS radius map and Diffuse look-up texture. looks more or less ok for me, especially in contrast light scenarios, it should be almost free considering performance

I don’t do major optimization work right now, but in my mind anything with gtx1060(6gb) and higher will be enough for 1080/60 at high settings. Probably even lower hardware will be ok, if I’ll have time to optimize realtime lights and shadows

a small question would a “immobility” stage be added? if not i can understand why

Can’t say for sure. I’m planning to research possibilities of extra big weight stages near the end of development. Not very confident, I’ll be able to create completely different model to work with my other systems, but maybe I’ll find workaround

What game engine is it?

Unity, it’s included in the tags

Unity, but with custom render pipeline and shaders. Probably will end with custom solution for jiggle physics as well

I know this is a bit of a reach but I think it would be really interesting to have a VR mode. Maybe, if you enjoy working on the project, it could be added after everything is finalized. Also, I would love to have a second person POV from the feedee over even being the feeder even with no VR mode. Any thoughts on adding that as an option?
