Just doing a little browsing through Pixiv because I was bored, and I saw this
Below is the copy-pasted google translate of the page, because I am still terrible with language skills
I made this game in between making other games.
It’s an R-15 game in which the genius alchemist Korza makes and sells weight loss pills in exchange for an annual pass to a popular sweets buffet.
If you drink the pill you failed to make…
The entire game is free to play. The
tipping version comes with a high-resolution character portrait as a bonus.
Hmmm… Game is surprisingly hard to crack open with Translator++. Problem, given how text-heavy the game is. It’s no goofy minigame…
Anyone got any ideas? Even using the Enigma UB Depacker isn’t helping…
(no, no plans to do a full FTL like I did with Curse Appraisal Obesity Dungeon)
I ran into the same issue and was able to resolve it. You need to first unpack the exe since its compressed. You want to use the latest Enigma Virtual Box unpacker which you can find here. Google points to an older version. Once unpacked, it looks like any other RPG Maker project and Translator++ works just fine with that.
Thanks, worked perfectly. Weird how the auto-updater Translator++ has.
Also I stand corrected, this is a TINY game. Could probably knock out a fan translation in like 2 days if god will’s it.
EDIT:
Secret behind the game, don’t read if you want to figure it out on your onw.
SPOILERS! AND MATH!
Each red and blue item is ranked -4 to +4, with positive numbers gaining weight and negative; losing them. The pricier the item, the lower the rank: the King Apples and Cami Root are -4 while the Mini Strawberries and Red-Fruit Flower are +1. The Random Clover is a random number between -4 and 5.
The Yellow Catalysts are the math used in the equation.
Cross Catalysts simply add the Red and Blue together.
The Unicorn subtracts.
Mysterious Catalyst X multiplies them togehter.
Twisted Catalyst multiplies the red item twice, then divides it by the blue one.
The final result dictates how much weight you gain or how much cash it sells. Positive results gain you weight and don’t sell at all, negative results lose weight and give you cash equal to the Synthesis Result * -1000 (remember: negative x negative equals a positive). If the result is zero, you made a fruit drink that sells for 100G.
As such, Shishi Pears + Cami Ginger Root or King’s Apple + Perilla Root in a Mysterious Catalyst X will be the most effective item to losing weight and gaining money, getting you 16000G.
There are only 5 weight stages, ranging from Slender to Fat. No point in making a bunch of weight gain pills to make you fat, the ending will let you see each phase.
Looks like the dev might’ve bricked the ability to unpack the game. Do you think you could send your translated version since it’s seemingly impossible to do so now?
You shouldn’t need to need Enigma packer anymore, seems like he removed it in the 1.1 update.
Think he realized it made it hard to make updates. So you can just download the new version and Translator++ that.
Whenever I try to select the 1.1 exe, translator++ always spits out an error where the engine can’t be identified. I’ve downloaded the addons and it works fine with other MV/MZ games, so I’m not really sure if I’m doing something wrong or if the new version just doesn’t work with it.
I’d appreciate feedback, there’s a few lines I couldn’t figure out and I have no idea how to properly translate the item names. I did keep it consistent though.
I had to replace the exe with a custom nw.js build though. They pulled a minor sneaky with the game assets and I didn’t want to try to reverse that.
Hmm, that’s Windows 10 right? I made that zip with 7Zip. It works on my Windows 11 PC, but I think the compressed file handling in 11 is better. Does this work any better?: https://files.catbox.moe/2ea8eq.zip
I made it with using Windows 11’s built-in file compressor.
