Frillrun

Thanks for playing!

I never knew if anyone would actually check the code…it’s completely uncommented, which is my bad, but I am happy you enjoyed those hex seeds :smiling_imp:

No mobile support, unfortunately! Sorry! I mean I probably could get it working, but whatever.

Also, web players: sorry if the game ran super slow. I just realized the way I rendered stuff to the screen was super expensive for no good reason (let’s make multiple window-sized texturses every frame haha that sounds good), so I went ahead and fixed that.

JUDGES’ VERDICTS:

Gorgeous gorgeous CG artwork if scalies are your bag - a potential contender for Best Art perhaps? The game iself was fine if a little floaty and finnicky with its controls. Those medal targets do feel a little harsh but then your queen is fairly demanding… The different endings were cute overall

A delightful game that’s easy to learn but difficult to master. I enjoyed the predicition mechanics as a way of helping sway the way your game will go, however the fact that its random means that it’s all the more difficult to achieve anything higher than a bronze in most levels. The art was cute, as was the music and the story. I feel perhaps the medal scores being a bit more forgiving so the other endings are more accessable would be nice, but I understand the need for a challenge and replayability. A solid entry!
