Gain of Life: A weight gain life simulator [v0.50.0]

Scales need to be consistant across each other…

If health runs from 0% (Dead) to 100% (Healthiest person alive), then every other scale also needs to run at 0% - 100% for ease of programming.

This is why I suggested using the middle point of the scale to create a rough average point, it represents what you’d be doing in day to day, your average behaviour (before this story / game starts up)

It does not matter. Those stats are numbers in background and the percentage gets calculated using formulas.

I will use those percentages for how much the bar will filled at the moment of that state.

Thank you so much, that helped me a lot, @The_Wind_King ! @eman006 suggested a great idea to do both. I will try to do that

So there was a survey of how I should design the stats of the main character.
This screenshot displays my thoughts (I will ajust some logical things on the UI - for example it does not make sense that the the bar is called sleep and empty at 100% (I will rename it to Exhaustness or sth). Also I will change the descriptions for the states to those of @The_wind

This is a fairly far-fetched idea, but do you think it would be possible to change the hair color, face, and or skin tone of the girl? Obviously it’s no issue if that’s impossible but I’m just curious. I like character creation a lot lol

Unluckily this is not possible easily. Maybe I will add an option at the beginning of the game so you can choose between like 2 or 3 preset girls, but this will not be added in soon future. For now my focus is on creating actual gameplay and making the game playable and interesting.

Adding a character with 8 weight gain stages would additional 216 images for thegame…

My only thoughts would be to remove the [Status]: before each of the descriptors. I think that the text and icons do enough to tell the player what the stats are for without needing to also name the stat bars. The extra text makes the bars seem crowded imo

I wasn’t sure about that, I will remove them.

Hey, can i ask when will the demo be public? I am so excited to play this, i check this site everyday

Actually there is already a demo-version for Silver and Gold patrons, which will become public at the beginning of October. When the current demo-version gets free there will be a new version with additional features for patrons, which is planned to become free in November.

Today I realised the weight was missing in the last picture, so here we go

I want to ask is it possible to graduate from the collage? like you go for a set skill and then after a set amount of time you graduate and if you want to go deeper in or learn a new skill set you got to pay for it yourself. like I did cooking classes but want to get business to run my own shop or whatever

Will there be an option to use the Imperial system of measurement?

For now the whole college hasn’t been created by me. It is absolutely planned to graduate from college to unlock new job options, not yet sure which. Those courses you are talking about will not be a topic in 2020, maybe January 2021, there are too many things to be done first, because I am planning to add a lot more events to college (because right now college is the most boring thing to do in the game, though it doesn’t unlock anything yet). The game is still in development and is going to stay in that phase for a long time. I am tryint to release pre-versions every month for patrons, where the last pre-version will become free to the public.

No, there isn’t. I do not know a lot about that system, but I am sure there is a formula somewhere in the internet to get kg to lbs. I will add an option at the beginning of the game to let you choose if you want to have kg or lbs displayed.

cool to know about the Graduation and the bit about the classes though I will say those where just examples I could see in a weight gain game.

Isn’t the conversion rate between kg to lbs 2.2 (or 2.205)?

Yep. 2.2 pounds per kilogram.

I suspect picking an ultra-obscure measuring system no one has ever heard of or uses.

It benefits no one, but it’d be good for a laugh, lol.

Don’t most countries still use lbs in most contexts, particularly body weight? [it’s stone & lbs in the UK at least, but we’d understand just lbs better than just kgs, that’s for sure]

United States, Liberia, and Burma/Myanmar are the only countries where lbs is used. Excluding the UK most use kg.

When I addded weights to my game, I asked whether they should be pounds, kilos or stones/pounds. Pounds was the most popular choice by quite some distance.
