Glad you enjoy it! You can get basically get all the required conditions for all the endings just messing with the sliders and stuff in the options menu, so if you’re just wanting to look at the game over screens you can mess with that.
Sadly no, I thought about it but just didn’t feel like implementing it at the time, you either gotta lose or close out and reopen the game

Is there a maximum weight to reach, or did I just, like, softlock the game by getting so huge that everything automatically falls into my mouth and I can’t lose any lives?
Yeah, the guy will lose his pan and start sweating when he reaches the last few weight gain stages, and when he reaches maximum weight he will squint his eyes and start visibly struggling even more.
However, once you reach maximum weight, you will gain height for every food you eat, this is almost infinite.
Eventually the food should be out of reach and you should be able to lose lives, but with the changes I’ve made it might be harder to get out of now, so I may have to look into that.
this game rocks!!! somehow went halfway through my first round without realizing you could rotate the cat though, probably should’ve read the instructions!
the special items are super cool, but i wish there was more info on how the sliders for all of the food works. i included the special items and it got a little bit too much to handle, so i had to restart. otherwise an amazing game, one of my favourites ever!
one last thing, i agree with LordOfDeez; you can get so big that you get softlocked. maybe an automatic ending with a custom ending screen when you get to this point would be cool? it’s around 650 to 700

Alright cool, I left the whole infinite growth thing in cause I was worried people wouldn’t like me removing or changing it, but now I’m seeing enough input and trying to think of ways I could improve and fix that. I think adding a cap like you said might help a lot, and maybe adding very slight constant shrinking during this part, so if you avoid eating food you can actually get back down to a more manageable size? Idk I’m just brainstorming >w> I’ll think and tweak around with some things, and see if I can come up with a solution for this
Sorry this took forever, I was REALLY busy with moving and other stuff, but now that I’m finally settling in I got a little time to make that push and wrap this update up.
This update changes a LOT with how the Macro/micro stuff works, as well as adding a score cap with a unique ending screen for reaching max score. @floativerse and @Korota made me aware of the macro softlock and gave a few suggestions, so thanks to them!

How Macro and Micro functions was reworked quite a bit
When growing from eating food after reaching max weight, there are more restrictions that make it less rapid and prevents from softlocking yourself, like slight constant shrinking. This applies to the growth mode too.
Growth mode (Size play) works very similarly as how the note above does now
Set size caps for micro and macro, you can still get pretty big but not so big you softlock yourself.
The macroom and microom powerups were reworked, now being more gradual than instand, overall less jarring.
Lessen how big or small you can get with the height slider
Added a 999 score cap, which gives you a unique ending screen for reaching it
Oh yeah, drew a new gameover screen for reaching a score of 999 or above
Fixed the food coming in screen in an unfair way when you are really small
I was a little worried when making these tweaks to the macro stuff, since people seemed to really liked being able to grow infinitely, and these changes kind of removed that. It makes the game a lot more playable, and I feel like the growth is still satisfactory, but I’d still like to know what people think of these changes.
As much as is appealing the concept of “infinite” growth, i feel from a game point its best to have a hard cap, since in the previous version, it was fun to fill the entire screen with just your character but there wasnt much more outside of seeing the number go up. The only ideas i could think of for more growth would only be, you fill the screen and it beings to crack, as in the character is overflowing even beyond the game or make the background grow and change, i remember seeing a macro game that was, starting to grow inside the room, grow until you break it and be on the street, then you are building size, then city sized and so on.
I feel the game is pretty complete as of this moment and for a first time doing a game and actually adding to it to become what it is now is amazing. If you keep adding more to it, i will be happy to keep trying it out as i have been but im also really curious to what you can come up with in the future with such a big strike on the first go.
Yeah that’s kinda what I felt like, I’d rather still have the game be functional and try to find other ways to do more growth stuff. I thought about having a ‘max height reached’ ending that’s similar to that, but I was so unmotivated to do it so I passed on it. >~>
The first thing that came to my mind when you described that game is Tasty Blue. I don’t think it’s a fetish game but it did the same thing where you keep eating and growing until you outgrow that area, and then the camera zooms out to a larger area and you keep going. I’d LOVE to make a macro/micro game like this some day, but I feel like it’d just be too much for this game, plus macro/micro was just an afterthought in this game anyways so I don’t want to dump too much time into it.

loving the new update!! glad my suggestions helped. could only get to about 650 this time around, but it gave me an excuse to break out cheat engine (super worth it!! love the new screen!) power ups are a lot better than they were before, and size play is pretty fun : )
just a little curious, are you still planning on releasing the project files? even with a ‘no rereleasing’ rule, i’d love to poke around and make some personal changes
I’m not sure, but I already DM’d Lord of Deez the project files so they could make a female version (In fact I should probably send them the updated version with the 999 ending). So I’m more than cool with sharing the project files with anyone who asks!

Something weird happens when you start getting really huge. You stop getting wider, and the sprite just gets taller and stretched out? But the background/level stays the same size, so the food starts falling past you again. Other than that, I liked the new 999 ending pic!
