Gainer Girlfriend by TopInteresting

Gainer Girlfriend is a story-driven relationship simulation where your choices shape your relationship with Stefanie — and her journey over time.

You play as her boyfriend, who has been dating Stefanie for about a month. Stefanie is a shy, somewhat insecure young woman who is still getting comfortable in her new relationship. Spend time together, go on dates, explore different locations, eat together, go for drives, shop for clothes, relax at home and discover unexpected events along the way.

But there is more going on beneath the surface.

Stefanie’s weight gradually changes throughout the game, influenced by her lifestyle, meals and the choices you make. She isn’t immediately comfortable with gaining weight, and her reactions depend on her mood, confidence, personality and previous experiences. Over time, the way she feels about her changing body can evolve.

Your actions matter.

Push her too much and she may become uncomfortable, insecure or suspicious about your intentions. Respect her boundaries, support her and build her trust, and your relationship can develop in a very different direction.

The game features:

  • :brain: Memory system that remembers your choices

  • :balance_scale: Dynamic weight gain & body changes

  • :hamburger: Food, fullness & mood mechanics

  • :dress: Persistent wardrobe with different outfits

  • :world_map: Interactive locations to explore

  • :game_die: Random events that make each playthrough a little bit different

  • :camera_with_flash: Memories and special moments

  • :sun_behind_rain_cloud: A changing world with different activities and situations

  • :framed_picture: Realistic character and environment artwork (currently made with ai –> will be replaced in the future when the game is ready)

Every playthrough can be different depending on how you treat Stefanie.

Will you respect her boundaries and help her become more confident about her gaining body, or will your hidden interest in her weight eventually become impossible for her to ignore?

Gainer GF is a slow-burn relationship and weight-gain simulation focused on your choices, character development and making Stefanie feel like a persistent person rather than just another game character.

I recently started with the development of the game, but I want to know from you guys, what I’m missing in the game and what should be added or removed from the game. Feel free to ask me literally anything about it.

What kind of pacing are you planning on? If I play for an hour, how different will things be by that point?

What’s the UI / UX you have planned? I could see your description in Ren’py, or isometric overhead traditional-console-RPG style, or an over-the-shoulder world exploration in a custom 3d engine…

What are the core gameplay loops?

I’m aiming for a relatively slow, extensive pacing. The game is more about the relationship with Stefanie and how she/ her weight changes over time than about rushing through a story. A single in-game day can contain multiple scenes, and scenes don’t necessarily equal a whole day.

If you play for an hour, you should have experienced a handful of interactions and activities, but not huge changes to the overall progression (yet). Stefanie’s weight, mood, relationship, preferences, memories etc. are persistent systems that develop gradually. I want the player to feel like they’re actually spending time with her rather than grinding through chapters.

UI / UX:
It’s much closer to a visual novel / life-sim than a traditional RPG. The main screen is essentially a Hub where you can see Stefanie and access different options. From there you can call her, go to different locations, work, etc.

When you start an activity, it becomes a dialogue-driven scene with character images and backgrounds. Stefanie has different realistic images, outfits and facial expressions depending on the situation. Once the scene is finished, you naturally return to the Hub.

There is also a small map with unlockable locations such as restaurants, fast food, gym, shopping, park, cinema and viewpoints. It’s not an open world game and you don’t directly control a character walking around.

Core gameplay:

You have limited Energy per day and a money system. The MC can work to earn money, while dates and activities can cost money. Stefanie also has her own schedule, mood, preferences, cravings and memories, so you can’t always just call her and do whatever you want.

For example, you might call Stefanie and find out she’s free. You decide to go for a drive, which could trigger a random event. Maybe she sees an ice cream shop or you end up at a fast-food place. Your choices affect her mood, fullness, relationship, memories and potentially future interactions.

So overall, I’m trying to make it feel like a relationship/life simulation , rather than a traditional RPG. Stefanie should seem and kinda act like a real woman would probably do. I’m planning on releasing the first version in the next few weeks. I’m currently studying at an university and my goal is it to realise this version before my classes start. I will show you some pictures shortly.

Here is a picture of how the Main Screen may potentially look like. Ignore the picture for Stefanie right now, as they are currently just placeholders.

As you can see, there are a few things that the player can do. You can give Stefanie a call and ask her a few things or do an activity with her. You can also have a look at her current outfit that she is wearing. I think that the picture should answer your questions. I also started with the design of the map:

As you can see, it is possible to visit a few spots already. As time goes on, I will probably extend these places. But it takes time. My goal is to make every spot as unique as possible.
Currently it’s possible to visit the places and a small szene there activates (nothing much). I want to have different szenes at every location. But that’s still in development.
I hope you like the first impressions of the game. If you have tipps or any questions, just ask.

Looks really cool! We need more one-on-one games rather than just the harem approach

Yeah totally. I personally prefer games that have one main character, as it feels more realistic. There may be some side characters that may also gain some weight later in the game. But I want to bring the focus on the main character. And there won’t be anything with harem (don’t even know what that is lol).

So, for near-adjacent games as examples :

  • Fattening Career and Feeder Simulator are Harem style. Play for a few hours, and there’s at least a half dozen gal pals who have put on serious weight and have special relationships with the MC.
  • The Weighting Game isn’t Harem style. The game starts with the MC beginning a romantic relationship with Alice, and the rest of the game explores and unpacks that one relationship. There’s some light nudging around the edges about other ladies gaining, but they’re all clearly separate and secondary to Alice.

Oh, thank you. I played most of the games you mentioned and I personally always prefered The Weighting Game over the others. My game has some similarities with The Weighting Game, especially in the beginning, but clearly divedes itself later in the game. My goal is to release at least a demo of the game before october, but it’s not that easy to create a game like that from zero. But I will post more pictures before the release.
