Hey again! You might be wondering why I’m making a new post for my mod, well the reason is because it’s been revamped and renamed to Gluttonous Growth(It was Overstuffed).
I’ve reworked the entire system, and have worked with a few people on balancing it and giving it a level of much needed polish(alongside a number of bug fixes…).
So here it is, better than before…
GLUTTONOUS GROWTH
Features
NOTE: Features can be classified into two categories, Visual and Gameplay. All visual changes require CPM, and hitbox size changes require Pehkui.
Eating any food when you hungers at max gives you calories! These fill up your calorie meter which is seen on the right, and as time goes on your calorie meter will drain and turn into weight.
Gaining weight will have a number of effects, mainly causing your health to increase and your speed to decrease as you get closer to your max weight.
- Your weight is roughly estimated by the icon in the middle, when that gets fatter, your definitely getting fatter.
- You will only visually gain weight if you have a properly configured CPM model. Confused as to what CPM is? Go the tutorial section to figure out how to install and use it with GG.
Of course, if your not having a bit of trouble moving around are you truly fat? If you have scaling enabled through the GG menu and Pehkui installed, then your hitbox will increase in size along with your weight.
- Enabling hitbox scaling further gives you a bonus amount of health based off how much bigger your hitbox is compared to how it started.
- You can specify just how much bigger your hitbox should get in the GG Menu.
Be wary of doorframes! When you walk through small gaps, the higher your weight the higher chance you have to get wedged.
Currently it briefly gives you slowness, but may be touched up later.
Trying to see how your progress is coming along? Well thankfully you’ve got a handy tool just for that! Craft any pressure plate to unlock the recipe.
HIGHLY CUSTOMIZEABLE
I can’t pretend I know the perfect way to balance my mod, and that’s why I’ve made practically EVERY ASPECT able to customized.
Do you think that you should gain more calories from food? Change it! Do you think that the wedge effect is stupid? Turn it off! Want every player in your server to be forced to become massive in size when they gain weight? You do you!
- Pressing the GG Menu key(default O) will open the Menu where players can customize and preview a number of things about the mod.
- Worlds have a unique config which controls how certain aspects of the mod work, and changing these values allow you to alter the pacing and balance of the mod
- If something isn’t toggleable at the moment, I plan on adding it on the near future!
Much more in the works… Hop on the discord to get sneak peeks ;).
FAQ
Q:“I’ve installed the mod, but nothing is showing up!”
R: Make certain you are on the Minecraft Forge for 1.20.1. Not fabric,
Q:“Please port to X version?”
R:Porting is tragically a good amount of work going to older versions, and from my own research it will be a tremendous amount of work moving to NeoForge and versions 1.21 and above. A port practically ends up being half as much work as an actual update.
Q:“Can you add…”
R: I love the enthusiasm, and I would recommend going to the FatCraft discord and going to the GG discord channel to learn about future updates and whatnot. If you really want me to add something, I’ve got a Ko-Fi where members can vote on what the next “theme” of the update will be!.
Tutorials
In an attempt to make it easier for all players to use the mod, I’ve created a few tutorials in order to address a few questions I imagine might get repeatedly brought up
For getting the mod to work visually, this is a visual tutorial that also contains links to two template models that have been setup to default work with the mod.

Mod Installation
This ia mod for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1
If you don’t know how to install forge, follow this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NbgN6I1g6M.
Once a forge profile is created, navigate to it’s folders and put the mod in the mods folder of the profile. You won’t be able to search it up on curseforge or launchers pages, as it is not hosted there.
If you want visual changes, also install CPM. Make certain you install the forge 1.20.1 version.
If you want hitbox changes, you need to install Pehkui for forge.

Future Updates
I am certainly not done with this mod, and have plenty more ideas I want to implement in due time. However, this mod takes up a lot of time, at the time of writing this I think I’ve spent at least 400 hours purely coding this mod. That doesn’t account for debugging, playtesting, debugging, balancing, debugging…
Now because of that, I’ve decided to open a Kofi!
https://ko-fi.com/abyssal101
I’ve setup two tiers, with the main perk of being a member in any capacity being able to vote on the theme for the next update! More details can be found in the kofi itself.
By the time your seeing this, the first poll for the next theme is active here: https://ko-fi.com/polls/Vote-on-the-next-update-theme-of-Gluttonous-Growth-F1F21IPN2T **
You can choose from any of the above themes!
Change Log
7/27/2025 - Version 1.3.1:
Quick bugfix and some QOL stuff:
- Made custom scales work, your game should no longer lag out if you set it and gain weight,
- Added a command that lets you reset the hitbox scaling from weight, basically if your messing around with your hitbox and force set it and want that to be your base hitbox but still have weight, use the /ggconfig clearWeightHitbox so the mod registers that as the new base. (Otherwise if your lower your hitbox or something the mod might try to give you a negative hitbox),
- Added tooltips to the preview edit boxes and the calOffset edit boxes telling you about the restrictions/fixes for them,
- Updated the golden diet effect image to be nicer, thanks to Tyrus!
