So, its the first time I actually BOUGHT a fetish game, finish it, and now I mostly glad that I played. But the rest of me is disappointed. I was looking for fetish, but I didn’t find exactly what I was looking for, although I could have caught up. As a game, it’s not bad, it can take an evening (literally, I completed it in 2.7 hours). But as content to satisfy my fetishes, I am deffinetly not satisfied. I would have made a refund if I hadn’t stayed 0.7 hours. Yes, I’m greedy. And I know that my expectations are my problems.
Figured I should ask just incase but is there any difference between the Itch.io version and the Steam version, you know due the content of the game or is it just the same both places? (sorry too used to some games needing R18 patches etc lol)
Both versions are the same, the only difference is that the Steam version has Steam achievements, and the Itch version is DRM-free. Although both versions have in-app achievements.
i’ve 100% on steam
I’ve added a patch to fix some bugs and make some adjustments. v1.0.1 fixes the bugs in the shop where you could buy items without affording them, and the description box, plus the Tutorial bug that ignored the master volume settings, plus I updated one of the secret Achievements to make it a little easier to figure out.
ah was it annoy the shop keep bc that took me ages to work out?
I’ve followed your art for a long time now, and when I saw you were developing a game I was incredibly excited! I bought it once it went up on steam. It’s fantastic. It’s short. It’s sweet. It delivers what it advertised.
I can’t wait to see what your next project is!
PS, the Shopkeeper is really cute. Does she have a name?
Yeah, The Shopkeeper.
Another patch:
Another li’l patch, thanks to everyone who brought more bugs to my attention. A lot of them involve Secret Achievements, so they’ll be blanked out.
-
Created a failsafe function on game start that checks if any in-app achievements that were already activated, but the Steam Achievement wasn’t, and activates the achievement. So if any Steam achievements didn’t go off for you if the in-app one did, get the update and restart the game and you will get the Steam achievement right away.
-
Updated the in-app achievements list with a “Back to Title” button and it can now be browsed via keyboard or controller. Also changed the hint for one of the Secret Achievements for something a little less obtuse, plus update the description for said achievement to accurately describe the change made in v1.0.1.
-
Fixed a Secret Achievement bug where it would activate the in-app achievement, but not the Steam one. This should work properly now. If this happened to you, the failsafe should give you the achievement if you get the update and start the game.
-
Updated the scientist tips: corrected one where it misstated that the Cell Wall does “four” times the damage (it’s actually three), and updated another one to show a certain action that was only doable by mouse in a certain area, now doable by pressing the Right Stick (R3) or the “P” key.
Small update patch just added with some fixes:
Spoiler Warning: Late-game secrets
Added two fixes in Theater Mode:
- Comic Player works properly now and won’t crash the game.
- Fixed the “Scene 7” glitches in the Rebbecca animation player.
After weeks of messing with code and learning optimization I’ve got GutBuster v1.1 ready.
Here’s what’s added:
- Optimized performance to run better on lower-powered devices. Bugs and memory leaks should be taken care of. Game should run faster.
Quality of Life Updates
-
Option added to toggle visible hitboxes for the player, targets and bullets to assist with clarity.
-
3D food model animations have been tweaked and rotated to more accurately display the width of the target.
-
Stage backgrounds have been altered to have deeper colors for better contrast.
-
Cutscene Replay Button added to the between-level menu. Now you can rewatch the scene if you missed it!
-
Tips On/Off Switch added to the menu, giving you the ability to turn the random tip scenes on and off.
Updates to Theater Mode
-
All of the sections in the Theater Mode have been updated to be used with buttons, and can be operated via keyboard, mouse, or controller. No more awkward cycling through the galleries one at a time!
-
Gallery now has a thumbnail list for easier browsing.
-
New art added to Art Gallery, including art that must be unlocked via completing achievements.
-
Music Test now has a selection list.
-
Cutscene Player has three selection lists for Winning scenes, Losing scenes, and Tip Scenes. You can stop a playing scene by selecting/opening one of the lists.
-
Effects Animations and 3D Model galleries have button lists.
I’m a little nervous posting this update because, while there doesn’t seem to be a lot changed, I altered a lot of things. I’m just hoping this doesn’t break anyone’s saves or anything. I’ve been reading your all the posts from those of you dealing with frequent crashes, seemingly from whenever the player takes a hit. (I just hope I don’t have to roll it back to v1.0.3 or anything).
If you come across any new issues, or if some previous issues are better with this new version, leaving feedback for it will be greatly appreciated!
