A demo, video, or even an image would help build confidence in supporting funding your patreon, especially since it seems your attention is split between three different games that are all paywalled with no demos
i agree these are payed demoās that we shall simply not pay for (not to mention the use of AI makes many people not want to pay as well)
Yeah you are right, but development is still ongoing. I would recommend joining my patreon as a free member, since I post there regularly. You see screenshots and other posts for free.
Well then do not pay for it. I am not forcing you into buying anything. If you are bothered ny the use of AI all my projects that use AI are labeled as such on here and on itch.
im more so saying no one shall pay for AI and thats a hard fact⦠we have seen such practices already in irl and all failed
Ok then, do not really get what you are saying but fine I guess.
The fact your go to response is to join your patreon to see an image instead of just posting the image here is quite telling how you view members of this forum.
Based on your track record, it looks pretty bad to have 3 (possibly 4) different projects being juggled at the same time, especially if youāre just paywalling most of your early WIP builds
What does it tell? I just do not want to post on 3 different sites.Thats what the free patreon membership is for?
So to clarify, you canāt be bothered to keep the forum in the loop because you posted it on your patreon. You donāt want to go through the effort of copying and pasting the preview images as an edit or reply to your posts, despite having $5 WIPs linked on the forum?
who said im a bad actor, i am now three years on this site, made free projects ā¦
When you make people pay for a game thatās expensive for little content, you should stop contradicting the people who complain, especially when your free projects havenāt been updated for a year, and itās clear that making three games at the same time is a most (sorry for the word) STUPID choice. Why three projects?! There isnāt even a free demo to judge the little content you put in it, and you think weāre going to react normally?
Some game creators are very legitimate, like cupcupmug, cringeindeed, nicksav, galactase, Mecha, and others who make games for free in their spare time.
Iāve been on the site for 2-3 years, I see more and more people making projects that are abandoned or scams.
Well but my projects are not abandoned or scams. Yes making several games at the same time was not the best decision and my posts may not be professional but it slowly gets there like my game development it gets better. Some of you know the struggle when working on one game, it gets tiresome. Like I yesterday finished the new build for gothgf and I now want to work on heavy farm, also during gamedev you get new ideas for your other projects. So I guess, I do not blame you in any way, my start as a gamedev was unproffessional.
yes, but you donāt become a gamedev overnight (in my language it sounds better, sorry if you donāt understand).
even you admit that doing 3 projects was a bad choice, itās good you realize that
then the price of the games, everyone agrees itās too expensive for what it is
the right choice would be to set up a means of support and not make people pay for example 7$ or make paid updates, but the old version becomes free.
Iām not a developer so I donāt know how it works, but I can understand some things.
I mean, which game is that because if itās done alright it could be good, Iāve seen some walking sims that I scoff at while others are worth the money sometimes oddly.
screw it I bought it so some feedback (this is 0.1.2 the Itch version so keep that in mind I donāt know if the 0.2.0 fixes much of this)
Thereās a solid basis there and while AI artwork itās clear either some filter or something have been doen to it to make it look less plastic like.
Now for the negatives
- Itās very repetitive, thereās a reason other games have odd random events happens or slight differences to events just doing the laundry working and sleeping with nothing changing the things at all becomes monotonous.
- It seems quite slow going likely due to the above but I actually got bored before seeing anything beyond the first weight stage.
- Why do I have to pay to eat food from the Fridge, I know itās a game but I can get paying for take away but the fridge implies thereās food already in there so I think a slight re-work though would be good.
- Both the firdge and takeout food donāt tell you prices when ordering which is a paid really because unless youāre planning to add some extra different stuff (or Iāve not noticed it yet) then at present itās about getting most calories for the money. I think more info like displaying the price would be good and if itās not already make it so the food has approaches as such so thereās a fairly low calorie but filling food (to help increase stomach capacity) a mid calorie mid filling food and some high calorie food but it negatively impacts health and a high calorie but very filling meal you canāt actually tackle without expanding your stomach capacity but it also costs more too. This will create options for the player and ways to approach things.
The 0.2.0 version will come out soon for Itch. Appreciate your feedback and thank you for the buy.
Heavy Goth GF 0.2.0 out now on Itch.io
I feel ripped because the game doesnāt work.
I canāt get past the first day, and sleeping doesnāt help. There are no new energy points. All images arenāt loading, which causes an error in the game. The game tries to load the missing images and freezes. I can only force quit the game.
I will get to work on this, I did not encounter any bugs this far. Can you send screenshots?
It seems this answers my previous questions regarding updates. Guess I need to fork over cash to your patreon to see what even updated in your latest build. I feel the way youāve gone about your game development journey is malicious and predatory now. Happy youāre trying to improve, not happy itās at the expense of others
