How to add bellies to daz studio figures

I have OBJ files of bellies/vore bellies that I want to add to Daz studio figures as morphs, how would I go about doing so?

The problem is that you can’t add geometry to a figure. I can’t sculpt for shit which is why I want to add my OBJ and merge the two objects in blender

Do you mean you want to take Daz genesis human model and add your custom object to make it part of that model? It is impossible. You need to export model from das as .obj file and edit it in 3d software program without changing vertices count or vertex order. After that you can impoert your edited mesh back as morph. This is the only way to add morphs in Daz Studio.

You can probably take your OBJ and use a shrinkwrap modifier to move the daz model around it?

I think it is easier to learn how to sculpt belly shape on model instead of importing belly mesh as prop and wasting hours on trying to pose human model to make this prop look good like a part of original body mesh. Plus no matter how good this prop will match body skin and original body textures there will be visual seams in places where prop connect to body mesh.

Okay, ty you very much. Will learn sculpting

Make a VDM brush out of your belly shape, than try to sculpt it onto the desired mesh.
I dont know nothing about DAZ beside it restricts a lot of things, so this might be a no go, but other artist could comment on this if it is possible…
2;
Try shrinkwrap with a primitive, a UV sphere. Position it inside the belly, use it as the target to wrap to, and adjust the offset, change the mode to outside. Modify the primitive like you want your belly.

All of this might not work if your base mesh is too lowpoly. If i read it correctly DAZ not allows you to subdivide the mesh but if it is dense enough some of this could work for you.

All this clearly sounds three times more complicated than just sculpting belly by using “Inflate”, “blob” and “Smooth” tools. Since Daz3d character models don’t have a lot of polygons especially in belly area sculpting a shape will be easy. Additional modeler can apply multiresulution modifier in blender and subdivide mesh once to preview how result would look in Daz3d if he use subdivide rendering option there.
