💜 Insatiable Hearts [v0.22.0] - A monsterfucker+Weight gain Twine Game

One thing I’d like to note, having played through the game a few times now, is that the options in each area are somewhat inconsistent, binary choices (like interacting with an event or ignoring it) sometimes have ignoring as the first option, and sometimes as the second. It isn’t really the most pressing issue, but it quickly becomes quite the pain in the ass when you’re navigating using the number keys.

Part of me is still trying to figure out the debugging command inputs in the debug menu.

Unironically the game that sent me down the path to end up on this forum and being as into text adventure weight gain games as I am. It’s genuinely great work and the only thing stopping me from supporting it financially rn is the fact that I do not have a regular paycheck. I look forward eagerly to updates on the public build, and I’m so excited to see how storylines like Amelia’s wrap up, and possible immobility features! Thank you so much for your hard work!

What parts of the world or characters should I explore if I want to find stuffing content without rapid weight gain? (as in instantly gaining it)

Off the top of my head:

Player feeds NPC

  • Kip (in the Junkyard)

NPC feeds player

  • Nico (Old Town, in the Harbor)
  • Maybe the frog woman in the swamp?

Acquire food for self-stuffing

  • Fruit tree (grotto)
  • The Bar (in the harbor)
  • item shop run by Oojin (in the harbor)
  • Well of milk + milk stream (Meadow)
  • Shoreline (random event to find a firepit with food)
  • Swamp (search for items)

Avoid:

  • The Caldera
  • Medical Machine (in the Swamp)
  • I think the Dark Mire has ambient gain effects, but I’m not confident in that

Hey folks, so glad to see people have been enjoying my game so far. Sorry for the delay between updates. I try to keep things monthly, but life has been hectic as of late and my passion project has been on the back burner. I’ve just updated the supporter version of the game and so now, I’m updating the public version to the previous build ~

As usual you can find the changelog below and if you want the latest version and see the newest stuff ahead of time, consider supporting the game on my patreon: https://www.patreon.com/owlkaline

The supporter version has added two new transformation sets, a few more encounters, new art assets, more fixes and changes and all that good stuff

Anyways, changelog for the current public version ~

Summary

Version 0.1.3D - (07/10/2024)

Additions

  • Added some “dialog” to the Meat-monger where the player can ask a few questions and get fittingly unsatisfactory responses

  • Added a new sequence where if a player is sufficiently fat enough or has the glut curse they will attract the Meat-Monger’s attention. If the player falls for his trap they will become a temporary captive in his bunk. A new feeding and sex scene can be enjoyed, and there is a potential bad end for overly gluttonous players. Additionally his bunker is easily escaped and explored revealing the source of his wares.

  • After meeting Laurent for the first time in the swamp his traveling litter can now be found wondering the meadow, shore and caldera regions

  • The astral sea now acts more like its own area with scenes and events that occur while swimming. Player’s will gradually become tired while swimming however and will need to return to shore to rest

  • The player can now drink from the astral sea, occasionally resulting in beneficial or harmful effects

  • Nico can occasionally be found fishing while the player is swimming off the shore. Just as when he is found on the shore the player can join him in his fishing.

  • The astral sea now has a new background when the player is swimming in it

  • Added a strength stat, this is affected by fitness but will be affected by other factors later. This modifies mobility limits and is used in some of the existing fitness checks

  • When the player has 0 calories they will slowly lose a tiny amount of fat according to the players metabolism and BMR. This is most noticeable when doing physical activity, like swimming

  • Added a new encounter to the shore, a strength check and building event with weights

  • The fitness tool tip now displays strength level, activity level, recovery rate and other data

  • Kip can now be taken on walks. These walks can be causal to build hearts or can be more exercise oriented to help her loose weight if so desired. Immobile sized kip can be carried by a play with sufficient strength or with dream-weaving abilities

  • Added a few new backgrounds, including swimming in the astral sea, Nico’s house, the inside of Laurent’s Litter and the cave system behind Lexi’s grotto. There’s a few additional ones as well for areas not in the game just yet like Verallia Gaetani’s palace, the inner sanctuary of the Monastery of Melmatria and the northern coast

  • Added a new encounter to the astral sea. While swimming the player can come across a small mysterious island. There will be a few simple objects to interact with. This is largely setup for a new character I ran short on time to add.

  • Nico can be asked two more topics, about his family and about the astral sea. Both answers change depending on relationship level like all of his previous dialog

Changes

~ Verallia’s tent event is now easier to find when invited

~ Adjusted a few things around the SheewĂłg species. The plural form is now SheewĂłgen, diminutive is wĂłgen and their young are called WĂłggles. WĂłgnip is now WĂłgen-weed, etc

~ Meeting kip and acquiring the quick travel option to find her camp now reduces the chance of finding her camp while exploring, leaving more room for other encounters

~ Fitness now affects vitality recovery speed

~ Limb mutations now affect overall strength. Melapoid arms and legs giving the highest strength bonus, while oojinn are the weakest

~ if the player hasn’t rested in the last 18 in game hours their vitality will begin to drain slowly

~ Vitality regeneration now scales inversely with activity level

~ Very strong players can now escape Blair’s encounter without nico’s assistance

~ The grease lake now has a minor ambient fattening affect when stuck in it

Fixes:

x Verallia’s tent event will no longer appear once the player has been invited to the palace, preventing a repeat of the same scenario

x Fixed the player’s height rounding up instead of down in the character description panel

Version 0.21.0 changelog

Version 0.21.0 - (09/23/24)

Additions

  • Added new item, Astral Pearl. A rare food item found in the astral sea that can increase players lucidity, resonance and dream spall. Can be sold for a high price. These can be found in a rare event while swimming in the astral sea
  • Added a new encounter to the astral sea with the Cloudfish, a new creature that can ensare the player. For players with higher levels of lucidity there is also some additional dialog options with her and another bad end
  • Lexi has a couple new pieces of dialog when asked about Evangeline, the anchor or her name after the cloudfish encounter.
  • Added a toggle for drugs and intoxicants, currently this only really affects the scaly moss
  • The feast queens curse can now be resisted at the start, this will count players lucidity levels against their gluttony. Successful resistance allows a milder version of the curse and lets the player continue uninterrupted. Failing to resist will result in one of three “punishments” from the feast queen. Submitting will lead to the original curse effect scene.
  • Having high enough lucidity will unlock “whispers” when items are examined allowing for extra details and observations the player normally wouldn’t know.
  • Added two new TF sets, cat and fox liminals
  • Added a new item; Fox-fire flower, a vulpine TF item
  • Fox-fire flowers can now be found when exploring the meadow at night in a new scene. Standing in the swirling flowers too long will unlock an encounter with a kitsune woman and her night ritual
  • Added a new item; Cattail pods, a feline TF item
  • Cattail pods can now be found at the milk river encounter in the Meadow
  • Added some new art assets for the Feast-Queen and the start of the Foxfire scene
  • Improved species detection system and added several combination and intermidate species names for the various TFs
~ the introduction and lexi’s description page now include new art assets, improved lexi’s description as well
~ Added new art assets for the items: foxfire flower, strange dumpling, mystery meat, astral pearl and the autosklava canteen

Changes
~ Updated credits page to include top supporters
~ rewrote the roadmap page
~ Renamed the Red Abbess, Amelie to The Red Abbess, Acacia because we already have Amelie Roux, oops lol
~ The mutagen list page now displays an asterisk next to TFs that are implemented in the game to make it more clear what’s current and future content. Additionally added a few more future mutations to the list
~ More items can be purchased from the Oojinn junk merchant
~ Some of the hub locations make mention of the time of day more directly
~ Increased the affects of the breast expansion status effect as well as added addition effects to the galactogue status
~ Adjusted lexi’s description scene
~ Added missing claw and paw descriptions
~ Changed version number tracking to a more standard format as suggested by Cuddlefiend
~ Most bad ends now have more effects on player’s vice levels

Fixed
x Fixed a missing flag when traveling from the rainy town to the caldera that did not trigger it’s shortcut option in Lexi’s grotto
x Fixed several typos throughout the game as found by FireSoul, Jackie, Slime Doll and a few others
x Fixed a bugged dialog option with Renard the hunter
x Fixed an error in bethanies sex scene that caused players without cocks to have one during the orgasm scene
x Fixed an input error triggered when drinking from the astral sea
x Fixed dog tf accidentally assigning rat fur type
x Fixed some endings not raising the endings counter
x Fixed blair’s ending not affecting the player’s stats

Version 0.21.1 - (09/23/24)

Fixes
x Fixed cat and fox TFs generating random outcomes
x Fixed being unable to enter the caldera ruins on occasion

Version 0.21.2 - (09/24/24)

Fixes
x Fixed an error in the character panel tracking the depravity stat
x Fixed not being able to increase tail count
x Fixed a stray arrow sign that was popping up because of the species name check
x Fixed the missing cat and fox ear and fur TFs
x Fixed being unable to talk with Evangeline due to a missing options array

Version 0.21.3 - (09/24/24)

Additions

  • Added an option to toggle off images for those that desire it

Fixes
x Fixed cat nose being assigned from the fox nose tf
x Fixed an incorrect trigger that was causing the cat and fox leg tfs to not show up
x Fixed the cat nose type not being described in the player description
x removed the unused background swirl option from the settings menu
x Fixed a dialog formatting issue with Evangeline

Hey, I’m enjoying the game so far, but I was just wondering how you increase your relationship with Blair? I’m playing the public version, and I’ve encountered her once. I saw her a second time, but I decided to leave her alone because I thought I needed to fix the canteen first. Now Nico says she’s gone to the Caldera, but I can’t find her there or in the Rainy Shanty. Did I miss my chance? Also, how do I get the Liminal Vulpine transformation? Thanks.
Edit: I just checked my journal and found some new information on Blair. I’ll give that a try.
Edit 2: I haven’t found anyone in the Caldera, Swamp, or Dark Mire who can help. Can you please give me a tip?
Edit 3: I found Baronet Lucent and got the Black Ambrosia, but unfortunately I still can’t find Blair. Ah well.

Small issue with Fyrfli’s hut on 0.1.3D, trying to leave straight away after knocking on the door seems to break completely, but only sometimes. From the error message, it seems to be a problem with how the game moves between screens of text, but I can’t reliably replicate it.
image

The new clothes are pretty nice

I also have a few bugs to note (not sure if any of them are fixed in 0.21, they don’t show up in the changelog):
The shoreline orb’s spall reward doesn’t actually increment your spall counter;
You can actually use the weights on the beach even with zero vitality if you press “Change Weight” and select one you can use (maybe disabling the links if vitality is low could be a good fix, I’ve seen it done with Twine games before);
Delphi’s relationship with the player doesn’t actually increase through experiments, because of an apparently undefined variable (see below);
image
Pressing the back button on mysterious potions just makes them repeatedly load random effects, which just means you can use one potion indefinitely (though tbh that applies to literally every random event that needs loading in the game, so it’s likely pretty hard to fix);
Drinking from the astral sea has some broken stuff, specifically this error that is always present because the last statement is missing a parenthesis.

Um… I think I may have broken the game. I kept rewinding and gaining weight, until I reached “NaN” Weight…

Is it possible to progress Delphi’s relationship in other ways? She’s my favorite so far and I’d hate to miss out on content with her because of a bug.

Anyone know how to use debug commands

Open options.

Click debug.

Click on debug menu.

One bug that can be catastrophic is sometimes the RNG just breaks, which causes a lot of functions to just stop working, like weight gain;

And going into Debug menu, the standard updating script also stops working;

I know that I mean the one that you type in, I cant figure out the codes and how to formar it

you have to wrap your codes in <<>> for them to work, for example <<goto ShoreBonfire>>.
