Invasion - Pacify, Coerce, Control - Concept WIP

Hi everyone. I just wanted to quickly share a proof of concept for my new project, Invasion - Pacify, Coerce, Control. If you would like to see a GIF of the model in action check the link below

The game is a management sim, strategy, and invasion of earth. It’s your job to pacify the population, fattening them, making them dumber, lazier - using hypnotic suggestion in TV and the Internet to control them. Coerce them with blackmail, money, or force. Prepare the earth for the arrival of the Armada.

But be warned - the Humans fight back. An X-Com style organisation will be slowly preparing, and the more obvious you are, the stronger they will become. If they can get their hands on your tech, they might even stand a chance.

i have been experimenting with 3D modelling and blend shapes, and finally got something I was happy with imported into Godot that you can control with code. I plan on making blend shapes for each body part similar to Tainted Elysiums flash panel for the pov character, as in- Different body shapes, customisable fat ratio for different body parts etc.

It’s not perfect, and I’d love any tips or advice for working with such a model. I have trouble keeping the edges from warping or inverting during the weight gain!

Anyway - if you would like to see a gif of the model getting bigger, and a little preview of the game screen, solar system etc. - please check out my post on deviantart - the filesize is too big for here.

The model needs work, but for a placeholder I’m very happy with it

Seems like an interesting game concept, hope to see more!

I’m working on a 3D model of my own. I’d be open to discussing modeling tips and tricks over messages if you’re interested, as I’m interested in the technique you used to spread the legs apart as weight is gained (this is something I have a theory on how to do but would like to make sure that’s indeed how it works or learning alternate methods) and I can see you’re using an outdated method for weight gain so I’m sure you would benefit from learning a method that solves the edge warping/inverting issue that I also had issues with previously.

Here’s a fairly outdated post if you’re wondering about my experience. May update it once I finish a more complete version.
