I’m thinking of trying my hand at making a game, I have RPGmaker but I don’t learn well through tutorials, and I was hoping that someone could help teach me, how to set up events and use plugins, that kind of thing

I think you should still give tutorials a try, especially those on YouTube. I think learning via forum may be a bit confusing and difficult. You would need to integrate pictures but most importantly, you would need to take time to answer into account. Give YT a try.
