Hi all! I’m not sure if you know me, I’m the developer of Deight Class! I’m looking for an artist to work with on my next project.
To explain, Deight Class is still very much in the works. I’m still planning on working on it for another year or so. However, the Patreon has been more successful than I realized it would be and due to the use of AI for the artwork I don’t want to pocket any of the profits from it.
This means that I have, and will be, saving most of the proceeds, that aren’t spent on commissions, for the purpose of a new project. I would love to avoid using AI art in the future and as much as I’ve tried my own hand at art in the past, it’s just not a skillset of mine.
So,what am I looking for? I’m looking for an artist that specializes in fat art to make sprites, full images, backgrounds, etc. for this future project. Since I know this type of work can take quite a while, I’m hoping to get a headstart on the artwork for it so that when I get the time to pivot off of Deight Class, I already have a lot to work with.
What am I offering? I’m offering consistent commissions. Aka, we would agree on a price per sprite, a price per full graphic, etc. And as I design more of this concept, I would give ideas or concepts, and for each finished piece, I would pay out the agreed upon price.
What am I expecting? With my ability to offer consistent payment, I hope that the artist would have the ability to offer consistent artwork. I understand people have lives outside of this shit, trust me, I do too. I don’t have a timeline on this concept, but I would hate to get through 75% of the project just for the artist I agree to work with to quit, or become too busy to work on it at all. I would be commissioning you, but this would be a partnership. I wouldn’t mind offering a portion of future proceeds of this project as part of the deal as well!
