LOW - Last One Walking (DAZ3d Rendered WG TV show game)

Hey everyone,

I’ve been quietly building a game for a while now and figured it’s time I actually introduce it. It’s heavily inspired by the bimbofication game BMOTV and the games that came before it that it drew from.

I just wanted to take that idea and turn it into a weight gain game instead.

This isn’t a release, the game still needs a lot of work before its finished. But I still wanted to share it here.

The idea

You move into a reality TV show house with three other contestants. The basic idea is simple the viewers want to see how the contestants struggle to stay thin while they trap each other. And the showrunners will ensure that nobody will stay thin.

Every week there are wheel spins that decide things about your life going forward — starting with what body shape your gain will take, and moving on to more devious stuff from there.

There is a lot more to the gameplay loop I will talk about soon.

About the AI stuff (being upfront)

I’d rather be honest and as transparent as possible:

  • The characters are made in DAZ3d. Every contestant is rendered by hand in DAZ3D. That’s the part I actually care about the most visually. To me the rest of the visuals are much less important so they can be done with AI.

  • The backgrounds are currently AI. I had a vision I wanted to achieve. Sadly it would look very crappy if id draw all the backgrounds XD. And using 3d assets for every background would have slowed down the games development drastically.

  • I use AI to help me code. Technically I could code all of this since I have some experience but AI tools are just much faster. I am reviewing if the code works but I won’t look at every line. As long as the game works and is bug free I am happy. Most importantly since I do not think that this game is any kind of high risk application. There is no harm if it crashes. The bug gets reported and fixed with the next version.

  • Dialogues: Right now the games dialogues are AI written I have instructed the AI on what the characters personalities should be and corrected some of the dialogue but they mostly feel bad. Those AI dialogues are supposed to be a placeholder for now. Until I write them myself or more likely let somebody else write them.

  • The main reason why I use AI: This is simple. The game would take took long to create. I am doing this in my free time and TBH I am sure the game would have died long before you had ever heard about it.

If that’s a dealbreaker for you, totally fair sadly I can’t support a non AI version of the game.

Where it’s at

Right now the game is in a partially playable state. It is possible to run around in the house talk to people and do a lot of things but many of the features are not yet ready and not all planned renders are finished. I can’t tell when the game will be ready but I might need a few testers soon.

Here are a few Images from the game:

More soon. Thanks for reading this far. I am open for questions and suggestions.

Sounds promising! I hope you’re successful in this - “Weight Gain Reality Show” is in my ever-expanding bucket of ideas too (albeit from a different angle), you’d be doing me a solid by manifesting this into reality so I don’t have to think about that anymore!

DM me if you decide you want to offload some of the dialogue or narrative write-ups. Maybe I can help a little on that side.

Hey,

thx for the kind words. The game is really taking shape right now. Right now I am implementing a few of interesting ideas to make the game feel unique. I think the chances are good that I will have a first version within one month but I can’t promise anything.

I will contact you.

Really looking forward to this one!

Note: The game has been moved to Project Ideas & Discussions by the admins for now since the playable version is not available to the public yet. As far as I understand it the game should have been posted here from the beginning and can only be considered a Project once there is a publically available test version.

That was my bad seems like I misunderstood the rules on that. I will post more updates here as the development progresses and the game will be reinstated as a project once I have the first playable version for you guys.

It could be that I am less active in the coming 2 weeks as I won’t be home.

The game looks really promising and original! I love it. I can’t wait to play it!
What AI do you use for writing? Because a lot of models are censored.

I know about the censoring and I could technically run uncensored versions models on some server hardware I have but for now the dialogues are only placeholders made by sonnet 5. They are this way because I 100% intended to rework them later on. I only wanted to have some temporary dialogue for now because the game is changing a lot. So it made no sense to already finish them now. There is no true linear story since most dialogues are reactions to what happens in the show.

very excited for this one, love the concept, love that you’re sticking with like four characters for now and the restrained use of AI tools.

TBH I use AI a lot here for the mentioned purposes because it really boosts the process. I also think that most of the games with AI generated character models just look cheap. Better than no visuals but not really nice. Same with the text. For now as a placeholder better than none but not really nice. I think this is really about having the right tool for the right job and finding a balance of quality and speed. Focusing my effort to what really matters instead of minor things like background. While still having those minor things.

I have resumed development of the game after my planned pause and currently I am changing a lot of things. Most importantly I am overhauling the UI of the game to look much more stylized and unique.

Here a little peak of the current main menu.

I wanted to give you guys another update on what I am doing right now. We have been testing the game for about a week with a group of around 15 testers.

The feedback has been better than I expected. The testers have found a few bugs but actually a lot less than I expected. Based on their feedback I already made some descriptions clearer introduced a few small tutorials and a few new settings options.

Where is the game right now?

The testers started on version 0.1 which I limited to the first 4 days so we could see if the game even started. A few days ago testers got their hands on version 0.2 of the game. Version 0.2 includes the whole game until day 28 which is supposed to be the last day of the show. They tested all the gameplay mechanics except the very last show which includes the final of the game.

This 0.2 test included all of the gameplay and was also supposed to gather some feedback needed to balance the whole game. The major thing that the test did not include was dialogue. The game is right now lacking most of its dialogue while already being close to feature complete.

The work on the dialogue is currently starting. This is the one major thing that is keeping the game from a demo release. It would be pretty weird to just have this TV show like game filled with people who always say: “This is a placeholder for a conversation…“

Apart from that the game is pretty far. I actually introduced 2 new weight stages to all the characters bumping their maximum up from 6 to 8. A public demo won’t include it yet but I also need to create the end images for all the characters which are supposed to show them a few months after the show.

I also have a few plans on what I can add to improve the game while the dialogue is being worked on. For example adding music and audio and a few QoL improvements.

To end this update, here is another image of a mechanic I have been working on:
