After defeating the slime queen and that “bear”, is there anything else to do in the cave?
Some side quests, but otherwise no.
Hi, I’ve got to the part where I beat all the agarthians in the lair place in chapter 5. Lysithea then says the message “Now let’s fight Tressam.” I’ve looked everywhere but I can’t find this encounter which I assume is the boss. Where is it if you don’t mind me asking?
Behind the big door on the second floor, it’s hard to miss.
The statue wheighs 275 pounds
Did I softlock myself at the dragon?
Did not have enough money to hire the guy and left the town to get Hilda without buying items. Is it still possible to progress the game?
It is. You don’t need that guy, you cand o it without him.
how do i start chapter 5
i can’t get out of the inn and the character says it’s too late when i try
That’s a bug unfortunately.
Does anyone know what Third’s Bounty (the status effect granted by equipping the staff Onus Virgam from the witch in Erith) actually does? The status description says that it increases that character’s damage by their weight level times 3, but what kind of damage? Magical damage, physical damage, or both?
It’s a staff, so you’d think it’d be magical damage, but I’m not sure. In the slime caves I gave Onus Virgam to an obese Marianne and directly compared her Cutting Gale damage to when she did and didn’t have Third’s Bounty, and either way it only did 6 damage. I never tested the physical damage because I didn’t want to lower the durability of this expensive item, but I’ll check later.
I tested this again and Third’s Bounty does seem to only modify physical damage. This seems like an oversight, considering that it’s a staff (traditionally a weapon of mages) and has too few durability points to be practically used as a physical weapon, especially with its price in mind.
I have also identified a bug with the fat skills. Certain skills that characters learn will be removed and replaced with different, fat-related skills if that character is fat. The problem is that the skill replacement is only triggered at the moment the character becomes fat, so if the character is fat while the original skill is learned, it won’t be replaced, and that character will have to lose and regain the weight to gain the fat skill. This means that if the character is fat the whole time - and I imagine this will be the case for at least half of players, due to both the high cost of Carol’s services and just wanting the characters to be fat - you won’t ever see the fat skills. This hurts Leonie especially since she’s fat as soon as she enters the party. Maybe you can refresh your weight and skills by using the weight loss amulet you get at the Leonie prison, but I haven’t tested that yet because I haven’t gotten to that part on my current playthrough. Coincidentally, some of the fat skills would probably synergize well with Third’s Bounty, since they do physical damage without using weapon durability.
I took the liberty of checking through the files while trying to find out what causes the problem with the fat skills, and there are four unused classes that seem to correspond with the four main characters. I was surprised by this, since changing the character’s classes was my idea for fixing this problem before I saw them, so it seems that the developer had the same idea but had some problem with doing it this way.
Thank you very much, yes I’ve been trying to get the fat skills to work for awhile now but it’s pretty tricky for me. Honestly I may have to rethink how it all works out.
A common event is triggered whenever the player levels up, right? That must be how the message boxes with the stat changes are triggered. You could trigger the common event that swaps the skills whenever this level up event is triggered. I still believe class switching would be a cleaner solution, but as I mentioned before it seems you’ve already encountered trouble with that approach. If I’m correct about the unused classes being meant for the player characters, it’s a bit of a shame that it didn’t work out because I love the class name that corresponds with Leonie!
An elegant solution yeah! And I was planning on having the fat classes come in way later, so they will be used eventually.
The Restricting Amulet doesn’t reset fat skills because it doesn’t trigger the standard weight changing event, so if you want the fat skills, you’ll have to regain the weight normally.
This is definitely a glitch, but Marianne’s Ground Slam is very, very powerful. When used, it appears to do 0 damage to all enemies at first, but as soon as the enemies take their turns, their health drops to 0 and so they can be killed in one hit afterwards. I killed the final boss of chapter 4 in 3 turns with the power of Marianne’s ass.
I haven’t seen how useful the fat skills are for Lysithea or Leonie yet, but Hilda’s active fat skills are unfortunately useless because of a glitch. They’re placed in the Skills group instead of the Special group, the Skills group usually being for passives in this game. You can still activate some of the abilities in Skills, like Hilda’s Charming Advocate, but none of the skills appear in the menu when in a battle. This effects all 4 of Hilda’s fat skills, even skills that are probably supposed to be passive like Food Lover and Upset Stomach, however I haven’t extensively tested whether those two work in spite of not being visible in the menu. The skills that I’m confident are active, Rolled and Jiggling Mass, are completely inaccessible.
aaaaaaa, thank you thank you. I’ll get to some of those fixes right away.
Though killing enemies in one shot witht he glorious power of Marianne’s fat ass is just perfect.
how do you open the big door on the second floor???
Also how do you get to the second floor???
