Lysithea's Sweet Escapades Redux - A Weight Gain RPG based on Fire Emblem: Three Houses

They are the shirtless men. I cannot say what exactly could be the issue without looking at it, I’m sorry. It may be for the best to do a different save, unfortuantely.

It’s fine, hopefully a different save will fix it up. If not I guess I’ll just skip her side story.

Okay so I managed to beat the side story after talking to the red haired guy by the statues first and then the sad mom, then it let me go on to the shop. Then I beat the rest of the side story and got to the victory feast. Only shame was that something was wrong with Marianne’s weight cause she never gained any weight after each eating part, which was a shame

But ah well, I’ll just finally move on to the rest of the game. Can’t wait to see what’s after the slime cave, as long as my game survives and Marianne’s weight isn’t still an issue after the feast.

Jesus Christ, I’m +3 hours in and I keep telling myself it will eventually get better. Than BAM freaking FORCED STEALTH SECTION. What is this, 2007? I thought everybody agreed ages ago that nobody likes these parts in games.
What’s worse is that the AI is bugged to hell and freezes if it’s within 1 tile of you
AND THERE ARE TWO LEVELS OF IT- nope. Forget that, I quit this game. whatever WG content there is, it isn’t worth it.

i mean everyone’s entitled to give some critique but that felt a little harsh

Call me names if you want, I gave this game 4 hours while many would not even give it chance. On top off all my critiques, the Slob Filter does nothing as well; which would have been nice to know prior to playing.

Really? Damn. My apologies I’ll look into that. Unfortunately it’s all done manually with me rewriting and taking out the sound effects, and there’s so much stuff in the game that a lot slips through the cracks.

I’m sorry you didn’t like my game. I’m well aware I’m not a very good programmer.

That’s pretty harsh for a game you downloaded for free my dude. You could have said things way nicer and still have made your points clear.

There is plenty of WG content as well that is definitely worth it to many. If it isn’t your cup of tea its fine too.

So I found 2 bugs right at the beginning town.

  1. when you go through the basement to get to hilda and carol you can get stuck on one of the traps and the game freezes.
  2. when you fight carol and you beat her without that spell the game freezes too.

Please make notes about the bugs in the Bug Tracker linked above.

Due to the numerous complaints I’ve received, the section on the ship during Marianne’s paralogue will be changed. The first level will be skipped and it will proceed straight to the second level. Also there will be an option to skip it entirely with an NPC that you have to do a side quest for.

The section won’t be removed because it has a unique bad end attached to it, but it will be made easier.

I completed Mariannes section of the paralogue legit, shame people realize game development is demanding and can lead to burn out. I’d like a word with these “numerous complaints” you speak of Dev. Are people seriously expecting to rush through chapters like guzzling down small sodas after you’ve worked for weeks/months on 1 chapter?

Quality stuff takes time, and to cheer you up dev, here’s something I came across

Regarding the ship sequence, it is a part of the game that doesn’t have anything to do with the rest of the package (it doesn’t involve a difficult fight or a puzzle of any sort) and is basically the only reason stamina existed for a while (it’s still barely relevant and only drags the pace down if you’re trying to move between areas a lot). RPGMaker games aren’t the best at character movement either, both in terms of feel and capacity, so, a sequence where you have to be quick on your feet is not the best experience.
I don’t mind it too much, but it’s not exactly a highlight of the game.

Thank you very much for your kind words, and thank you for the Glorious chubby Marianne!

Best other analogue I have to it is Forsaken Fortress from Wind Waker. I don’t dislike the stealth sequence in this game, but beyond the variation of one of the bad endings it can potentially lead to, I don’t really feel it adds that much to the game either.

The stamina is technically also used in one other timed sequence in the basement early on and much later when getting Leonie, but otherwise I do agree that it feels a bit superflous and somewhat annoying most of the time. For instance, it’d be more interesting if the big slimes didn’t immediately jet to your location and instead you could outrun them if you are thin enough, which of course, with the other slimes attempting to fatten the party up, would lead to a more interesting dynamic with the cave.

I’ve been liking the new content (which I finally got to after a bit) so far, maybe some parts I don’t quite agree with in terms of characterization, but the source game is already pretty interpretative with how the audience is meant to perceive the characters, so I don’t mind too much. Although admitedly, I don’t feel confident with adding things to the bug tracker because I don’t know what is a bug and what was side effects of me frankesteining my unpatched save file into something playable. Currently at the scale puzzle, had to open up paint for that one.

Hey guys! I’m checking in to see how everything is going. Also how you holding up HFTGS?

Fine for the most part. The game doesn’t seem to be crashing every five seconds for people at least. I’ve been working on some personal things and trying to plan out Chapter 6

The stamina is there for a tactile feeling to the girl’s weight, as it decreases faster and refills slower the fatter you are. I added it to emphasize the feeling of being fat. You do bring up a good point about the NME stuff though. I’ll try that sometime.

It’s neat for the first hour, but there’s so much movement involved that it gets tedious after a while.
It should be something you can toggle like the slob filter outside of specific sections where it directly interacts with gameplay (like one of the minigames in a later part of the game).
