Need help (plz)

It’s been like weeks, and I was trying to come up with idea for a game, I have pretty much a lot of ideas and even some scraps. I got some experience in game dev (without programming, all I did was visual scripting like in tyranobuilder : / ), before - I was doing small projects for like testing, well I also draw pretty good (on my opinion), so probably for the best I am creating the idea the first and shit, then the visual, but the problem is that I don’t find any of my idea attractive, like it’s not what I want, despite having hundreads of those ideas, even making a fan game but ofc weight gain edition is the same hard… maybe a little easier tho. What I know for sure is that the game will be whether an rpg on rpg maker, or a visual novel, I worked with both actually… and I just feel that working alone is quite hard too, despite I don’t want game be big or smth, opposite. And just every time I think about the new idea I find it unnatractive after some hours. What do I do?

That’s a really great question.
First of all, I should mention that I’m not exactly a top-level game developer myself — my current project is on indefinite hold due to life circumstances. Still, I’d like to share a few thoughts and suggestions that might help you.

I recommend writing down every idea you come up with and building your own “idea library.” Sometimes, a concept that seems dull or uninteresting at first can become engaging and unique after a few tweaks or when combined with other ideas.

I once read a book called The Art of Game Design, where the author said, “Deciding too early whether an idea is good or bad is the biggest killer of creativity.” That line really stuck with me. So, I’d suggest creating a small prototype or concept demo first, then decide later whether to keep or discard the idea.

These are just my personal thoughts, but I hope they offer some inspiration.
Wishing you all the best with your development — and may you keep your joy and passion throughout the creative process!

What exactly is your field of expertise? Visual Novel? Platformer? Text Adventure?

Some of the best ideas come from frustration. Haven’t you played a (weight gain) game that was almost great?

Another approach is to make the most basic minimal WG game you can think of, and start building it out, sprucing it up, and adding twists from there.

It’s a good idea actually, I can try doing something very simple but still a game, just mechanics. Also about writing every idea, I do that, highlight them with colors and again, draw scraps. so thanks!

Like I told, rpg or visual novel, I know how to make only those

Yea I guess I can make some rlly simple protoypes just to test mechanics, thanks. and about the almost great wg game for me was DDLC That Special Day! but it’s kinda great for me, not just ALMOST great
