Oblivion Remastered Modded Character Models

So I was checking out the game’s current mods on Nexus and I found this post:
Nordic Muscles - https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/214

Teslov figured out how to modify character models without a specialized tool and created a tutorial on it. It looks like you’d need some basic know-how of the Unreal Engine and Blender sculpting, but seems simple enough. Modelers, like coldsteelj, can actually make chubbier character models for the game now.

Admittedly, I know how to sculpt in Blender and could probably make something myself. But I tend to be a horrible procrastinator and I rarely release anything because of it.

I should also mention that the game has cloth simulation now, so jiggle physics might be possible as well. However, I’m not completely sure on this one since I don’t know how Unreal operates.

just gave that tutorial a try, it really is easy to export models into blender, took me like 5 minutes

the hard part is being good at sculpting lol

probably physics and animations might be messed up too, i guess our best bet is waiting for something like a bodyslide to come

at times im scared just how fast people can mod now… scared yet impressed

I am pretty good at sculpting, but the problem is I’m not very good at importing the morphs back into the game. An example was when I tried making a morph for Skyrim, but I got so bored with that game that I didn’t finish. However, I tend to like low poly since it doesn’t take as long to hand craft, so I might not be the right guy for such a new game. However, the model might be lower poly than cbbe mods in Skyrim.

Example of mods I spent a long time modding the models are the Sims 4, and Atlyss. I should really release a mod of a female heavy morph, I know I can make. To prove my skill isn’t just talk. But I’m just not in the mood to mod a game I don’t even really like. It’s just the only game I know how to easily add weight gain morphs.

It’s because Oblivion Remaster is basically the original Oblivion with what’s called a wrapper for Unreal for the graphics. So, some mods from base Oblivion have even worked on the new version of Oblivion. Give it a shot for yourself and see if some old mods work with a bit of a rework.

Makes me wonder if the tutorial will work with other Unreal games like Atlyss. I already have models made that I can copy over the working model. Since we were having problems with the shape keys breaking based on the way we were trying to import the model back into the game.

Edit: Nope, Atlyss is too old for FModel. Unreal 3, I think. This program doesn’t work for older Unreal games.

i dont own the game and it needs 120 gb no way i can cram that on my limited drive
