P*kem*n Lard: A fatty centric P*kem*n region (THE FINAL RELEASE!)

it is, indeed, a cruel trick. I am planning to implement more ways of getting information about routes, pokemon, and the new types in the next update.

Currently, I am more in the planning phase of the next update, although I did create the two new gym leader sprites… which brings me to a note about the next update. The gym leaders themselves are more joke characters than real ones. What gives? Well, the next update is planned to have mostly natural areas, as this one does, with a large event unrelated to the main quest, and a ton of additional features and “polish” stuff implemented.

Honestly it’s pretty likely they will be added at some point, sunflora is a pokemon I like, and Grumpig is one that holds special significance for me, as it was one of the first pokemon I ever considered a “partner”, despite my distaste for and religiously mandated avoidance of pigs and pork products.

All Planned implemented pokemon DOES NOT MEAN all pokemon have been implemented. My favorite part of any project is designing the bestiary. I think if I was no longer allowed to add pokemon to the game I’d just lose interest and quit, so there will be new pokemon available or created in each and every major update in all likelihood.

So, is there anywhere to catch a bunnery yet, or is that gonna be in the natural zone?

What about Mandibuzz or Skuntank?

Currently using Porygon and Cottonee on my team. Where do I get the Upgrade and Sun stone respectively?

They aren’t currently available items at the moment. They’ll be around later, hopefully.

Why even implement Pokemon whose evolution methods haven’t even been put in the game yet? So much in this game confuses me.

It is much easier to add a sun stone when the devs are ready for the pokemon to be able to be caught compared to having to define, draw, and add pokemon when the devs are ready for the pokemon to be able to be caught

because the pokemon are encounterable this early in progression, but are not meant to be evolved yet. simple as. you’re only about halfwa through the game by the end of this update.

Where am i suuposed to go once ive done the first 2 gyms and battled the rival? I cant find a new area to go to?

at the end of the dungeon there is a ranch, an npc will aloow you to the next arae

Where is the dungeon? Are you refeering to the cave south of the second town?

That’s where you’re supposed to go. It leads to a marsh and then the third gym area. suttie is talking about the mountain cave, which is a pretty long stretch of two caves…

umm… i;m having trouble at the 4th gym, i can’t seem to push a npc at the starting are in not other direction other than down for some reason

Edit: It seems after agreeing to helping her approach the shy guy the MC sprite just locks up unable to rotate to different angle ever again

Finally beat the game (or what is out so far):
Pros:

  • Fun Dialogue: Its not beating you over the head, humor is attempted, and it clearly looks like someone worked hard on it
  • Classic Pokmn gameplay: Not much to say for this, but it does a great job of fitting in the genre
  • Time Consuming (not just a walk through and be done in 5 min): Has a great amount of content

Cons:

  • Typing is extremely unbalanced Ground/Pyschic/Electric are super/normally effective to nearly every pokemon. Water is nearly useless all game and grass is literally unusable until the 4th gym due to every pokemon having sap-sipper, healthy diet, or just plain NVE
  • Time Consuming; although its not a breeze after the 3rd gym, the game hits a wall You can abuse the 3rd gym to get infinite exp off the 3rd trainer inside not beind able to do much against ground types
  • Some pokemon give way more exp than others: Elgyem U-Turn is a exp farm that nearly doubles the rate you get experience. Wild Morgrem gives nearly 3x experience more any other pokemon in the caves
  • Shiny pokemon: Nearly half of the trainers you face have a shiny pokemon, this number drops off a cliff later, but might be a bit cooler if limited to gym leaders or your rival.
  • Evolution spoilers: Trainers you face have pokemon that are evolved before they are supposed to be. This creates an awkward problem where its almost impossible to have a higher-evolved pokemon than any trainer in the game in addition to some trainers having pokemon the player can not possibly catch or evolve in to (such as in other pkm*n titles)

Overall: The game looks amazing so far, the “problems” that are in the game are easily fixable and already being worked on by the devs. It sucks a little bit that you cant run any pokemon you want, but the experience isn’t ruined by it because of how great all the sprites and pokemon are in their own right. I’d reccommend the game to any member on this site and look foward to the next update.

I’d give this game 8.5/10 and if the problems are fixed in the future, easiliy 10/10

Is there a walk through walls cheat that can be used, I am currently stuck in a wall after the newest update

There is not, where did you get stuck and did you save after getting stuck??

Just reached the fourth gym, and I’m stuck because when I talk to the lady at the entrance who I need to push, the direction I face gets locked permanently, making the puzzle impossible to complete

I saved here before the update, this is what I spawned into
