That’s how i used to fix this
What does that mean?
If you try to download Japanese games without Japanese locale then your computer can fail to interpret the Japanese characters as things it can read, causing the game to be unplayable.
Putting your computer in a different locale just makes it so that files can be read in other languages.
The errors show up frequently in rpgmaker games because the games have external files that your computer can screw up when you first download the game.
I have to say, this game and Feeder Fantasy serve as proof that Fallboy can provide a delicious blend of WG goodness in each and every one of his projects. With that, I think I’ve been spoiled rotten by @Kitsune 's translation of Feeder Fantasy, as the machine-translated text in this game is, at times, rather difficult to fully interpret. Maybe if we all tried to deduce the true “meaning” behind every line of dialogue in this game, we, as a community, could make our own English translation patch. Wouldn’t that be nice?
Does anyone know how to fix this error? I didn’t understand much and if anyone was able to play it, please tell me. Does it have good endings or is it just another average game?
That looks like you need to install a Japanese font or something to your computer, iirc.
All right my turn to post this one.
Basically you need to change your Winrar name encoding option to Japanese and it should be fine or if you use 7 Zip it’s UTF8
Oh, I see, now I’ll try it out. By the way, did you play the game? Don’t tell me how good it is, is it worth playing? Does it have good endings, good springs, or is it just kind of ugly? Tell me.
I attempted to do an MTL of this and clean it up. I didn’t check and didn’t realize this was a demo lol. Oh well. I’d appreciate feedback, there was a lot of text and I couldn’t figure out all the lines. I think I got everything though: https://files.catbox.moe/dws5yc.zip
I fixed two things which I think were bugs. One was the toy coin not deducting at the vending machine the first time it’s used. The other was fixing the step counter for the poi-173 script (which was basically a near rewrite, maybe the author just wanted to disable it?). The second bugfix leads to a bad end variation.
