is gaining the weight supposed to take a while or am i missing something?
Yes, it takes a lot of time. First visual changes only when character reach 55 Kg.
I just downloaded v0.04, and it’s starting off in the cave with Ruyri in her young form when I select new game.
Where do you get the camping set. Should i already have it in my inventory? This is on playing v0.04
Actually you shouldn’t be able to left house(for first time) without camping tent in your inventory and if you try to left Ruyri house without it message will tell you that you need to check Chest behind dining table.
So do i have to find the hours first then in the caves? I played the intro got the chest fell then got the story and im wandering around the caves.
after running through all the content, three things I think could be done that are not bug related to improve the flow a bit:
Food giving XP: currently the only XP source is to kill monsters, while the fastest way to gain weight is to eat monsters, thus removing XP, so either making eaten monsters give XP or making food give XP will make leveling a lot easier
Add a “scale” at home: currently the only measuring place is the tent, which is ok and all… but home should also probably have a scale if you are there to gather spawned items like chicken eggs and want to check weight
change devour: honestly? devour probably should have ramp up accuracy at lower health creatures while being based on character stats so at higher levels you can just eat full HP creatures, because what is a rabbit or rat going to do when Ruyri is level 5 and needs 100 fullness just to feel sated?
I am sorry, but with your english I can’t understand where are you at all. Open menu and check quest log. Tell me what quest you have so I can understand what you need to do.
All your wishes concern only the early alpha version of the game which is not a game to play at all. So, people just need for me to add more content to not bother yourself in trying to find something to enjoy in Alpha 0.04
About character levels: Character levels increase some stats and unlock some skills and that is all what it do. Devourment skill is a mechanic which don’t relate on character level at all. Devourment skill related to maximum character fullness. All enemies in the game have their weight and size. When Ruiry gain weight she increase in size too and in feature updates her Max Fullness will get bonuses too. So, if enemy is small then Ruyri can devour it. If enemy is big then Ruyri will be able to devour enemy only if her stomach can handle it. So, this have nothing to do with character’s level. Also, this is not a game about “how to get fatter as fast as possible” and I hope people will understand it after I add more and more content.
Looks like I messed up with starting character position. Please wait a few minutes I will upload new version
Are you supposed to start off the game next to the chest trap?
I don’t feel like I’m supposed to be here yet
And you are completely right. This is a bug, sorry. I already uploaded new version. Please download v0.05 and start new game there.
I get what you are saying and it’s fine if your story content will eventually mesh well with various aspects, but I see the mechanics becoming a problem later, as character level influences HP, which you lose 10 HP when overstuffing no matter the amount, which leads to very early on having a large stomach capacity with some easy to exploit things like the flowers, since 100 HP means 9 levels above max stuffed, and since devour only works on 36% HP, you encounter this weird situation where non lethal does 1 damage or normal attack OHKs
leading to a ton of stacking imbalances that will likely make people way fatter early on than you intend to
bug found: non-lethal is still lethal if it crits
“non-lethal is still lethal if it crits” - weird, I guess I better turn off critical strike for it then. Thank you for report. Plant trap have their capacity and even if player would have 200 hp they wouln’t die from plant trap, because plant will run out of juice and will let the character go. Also, amoung of juice could be easily changed by me in later version of game if needed. Second: gaining weight is not the goal of my game. If, after adding a lot of content, the main goal of the player will be gaining weight as fast as possible just to see new weight sprites then so be it. Character will gain a lot of weight and wouldn’t be able to move because of low amount of strength. At least to gain more weight player will need to waste weight on training strength first. Third: right now even if player use plants to feed character he need to waste HOURS repeating the same actions since character gain like 1 Kg in around 2 minutes of instantly feeding. I think that only crazy people would waste so much time on that process just to see new weight sprites instead of investigating content and looking for events which I add. I am pretty sure all those people who managed to gain 95+ Kg just used cheats instead of wasted time on using plants over and over. So balancing the rate of weight gain, Fullness or Max Fullness doesn’t make any sense right now and the absence of this balance will not lead to any problems in the future, because I can correct it at any time with a few clicks. Balance was never the goal of publication early alpha version, I was just need to fix bugs before I add new content.
once you complete the cave part near the beginning and then it gives you the objective to “go back home”, where are we supposed to go because I had returned back to the house and the objective had not been completed
how do you gain weight? I’ve made food to eat and slept when full.
sleeping deletes fullness, which needs to degrade by walking to gain weight
I don’t know if this is the case with all encounters but if you lose the fight with
the wolf pack
the autosave takes place after the fight causing an infinite death loop
Am I the only one too stupid to understand how to fish?
