Hey the classic long time lurker here finally got around to getting the game I’ve been working on to a playable state. It’s nearly complete but I’m not 100% confident I’ll hit the Dec 31st deadline so I wanted to get this post started just in case if that’s alright. I’ve always wanted to get into game dev on the side and this site has and all the wonderful projects people have posted on this site have been an inspiration for me to stop thinking about it and just go out and do it. The game is a little less polished than I would have liked for the first version. The UI is kind of rough around the edges and the transitions are really stiff but hopefully it’s not too distracting
Hopefully coming soon (Might even be today if I’m able to nail down this last bit of event writing) but allow me to introduce Prideful Demon. In this game you play as the hothead succubus Alara who tends to bite off more than she can chew both figuratively and literally. Trying to get a leg up on her sisters she finds herself in a mysterious dungeon she probably shouldn’t be in and certainly not alone. Your job will be to guide her on her misadventure and prevent her from getting into too much trouble, though trouble will certainly find her.
Gameplay wise at least what I was going for was to imagine slay the spire except it’s just the choice based ? events. Kind of visual novel/text adventure-esque where Alara is put into situations as you progress through the dungeon and you have to decide what she does and deal with the consequences. And upon being defeated she flees back to the start of the dungeon and has to restart the run. All the weight and food she consumes along the way is converted to experience when she retreats allowing her to level up and increasing the maximum weight she can achieve.
As far as the “content” that everyone is here for, there are currently 4 weight levels each with 3 stages of fullness. Maximum size is I think is around the 250-300+ lbs range but I’m not great at judging how visuals translate to an actual number so please correct me if these numbers are wrong so I can update it to be accurate. Alara is a primarily bottom heavy character so most of the weight gain goes straight to her lower half. I don’t plan on creating a massive rooster but there are absolutely plans to have a few more characters that embody the other archetypes. There are also for sure plans to add many more weight levels. Ye old “could be bigger” and the limit is basically as large as I can make the models still look acceptable. Speaking of which the images are all made in virt-a-mate with a little splash of blender for touch ups. Already starting to run into virt-a-mate getting a little wonky at her current max size so having to do more touch ups in blender.
