My name is King! Today I’m here to share a project I’ve been working on with a small team!
Plan is to make a Pkmn inspired monster catcher with WG (and some other related kinks (; )! We are still in very early development as of 04/01/2026. I just started making some maps slowly as I’m still planning stuff out (the map I posted is still WIP. Need to add more life to it).
Our current dex is looking to about ~99 concept/idea creatures. Trainer wise (yes there will be fat trainers and some will gain weight too) is sitting at ~77 different Classes!

That starting town is really spacious! I think it’d be better scrunched down to about half those dimensions. Or maybe give the player a really fast bike from early on?
Looking good! Having dabbled with fangames before though, you definitely need to shrink the map size down to at least half of that starting town’s size. If this is being made in RPGM XP you’ve got to remember the player window is much smaller than the full screen you have available when developing, having so much empty space both takes forever to move around and makes the area less interesting. Focus more on packing as much as you can in a small space than spreading it out over a large one. Adding some alternate grass textures would help with the variation too.
I haven’t decided on a way for the weight gain to affect gameplay yet for the player character… for the creatures though as of right now they’ll grow bigger as they evolve similar to Lard.
As for other expansions/Inflations, yes I do plan on adding them! I plan for some BE, AE, and few different inflations. Not sure how it’ll affect creature.
