I can wait, until 9/21. It’s certainly been a while.
can we use our saves from previous versions with the new version?
It really has, and I hope the next update doesn’t take as long.
Most likely not. This is an update with some new content, but mostly HUGE updates to older existing content. I’ll be surprised if they do work, but plan on new saves.
(Yet with all the new content, a fresh play through is the BEST way to experience this new experience)
Huh, what made you come back and redo the whole game like this? I would have figured Round Railroad caught more your attention?
Railroad was a product of me being really burnt out on Roundbound and wanting to try some new things at the time. It was a pretty fun side-project, but among other changes in my life, I really wanted to finish Roundbound before starting any new projects.
I really didn’t want Roundbound to be another “pretty good game close to getting somewhere but left dead by the dev” situation. I want this game to be done in the next year or so.
I took a lot of the experience from Railroad and pumped it into this. It’s really a lot more polished and I couldn’t be more happy with the result. Roundbound was my first ever RPG maker project. I had 0 experience and which is why I think it was so rough. Railroad allowed me to test things out and play with the engine, and now I’m finally feeling confident in my abilities.
Well good sound like you are fired up about both project And I am happy to see what you do with both with this new spark.
For those following this thread: Game is expected to be released either the 21st or 22nd of September, depending on Rounds schedule in real life! A truely “Huge” update with lots of “softness” to enjoy and hopefully, it is worth the weight
So either today or tomorrow. Time flies by fast
today in an hr. joys
Re;Roundbound is now out for download!
Roundbound is an adult adventure game taking place in the land of Demarara, a fantasy world inhabited by unique spells, creatures, and locals. Through the region you’ll need to visit beautiful towns helping townspeople with their personal quests, fattening them and powering up your team with each and every mission. You’ll be deep in the Springwood Forest resisting the fattening pollen spores of the native plants, the wide fields of the Windy Plains eating berries, to deep in the Famitu Desert training to hold your own weight better. You’ll also meet many powerful and cute faces such as a Chaos-Seeking Succubus, a sporty Redhead farmer, a gang bent on controlling the food supply, and more.
This update is a major facelift to the old game of Roundbound. It contains new maps, sprites, a quest system, and so much more. Please play it and tell me how you like it- as a shitton of work went into this game. There may be a few bugs here and there, but overall it should be a very solid expeirnce for you all to enjoy.

Little bug when you first start on v1. Uploading v2, will fix this bug!
Edit: FIXED IT!! Download v2!
There aren’t any crystals after boss fights to see bad ends anymore. Will they still be available at the island palace or do I just need to lose every fight manually to see them?
Not to knock anything, because I do love the game, but you might be best off scrapping the Linux build and pointing Linux users towards the Windows one. The default version of nwjs that RPG MV exports games with is basically a six-year-old version of Google Chrome, and it doesn’t play too nicely on modern systems. On the Steam Deck I managed to launch the game (albeit with some font configuration errors, inherent to reading the system config rather than anything to do with the custom fonts shipped with the game) but it crashed immediately on my desktop. Putting that aside, most Linux systems are case-sensitive when looking up files - the Steam Deck only got as far as the “Now Loading” screen and hung there because it was searching for “MAIAN.ttf” while the game ships with “MAIAN.TTF”; there might be similar issues further down the line with how some images are named, but I didn’t get that far. These won’t occur for users with the Windows version as Windows doesn’t care about filename case, and Wine/Proton compatibility layers for Linux emulate that behavior.
It might also be worth noting for Mac users that the exported build won’t work as-is on 2020+ Macs (anything with “Apple Silicon”, Apple M1, M2, etc.); at the very least it seems to crash before even opening a window on my M1 Macbook Air. Other compatibility tools may make it playable, but I’m not really sure as I don’t spend a lot of time actually using my Macbook; for my MZ game I’ve taken to just semi-manually building a specific version for newer Macs directly from an Apple Silicon-specific nwjs build.
W was keeping updated always on progress, glad to see it out now! Hopefully it will be a great success
I honestly have very little experience regarding RPG maker’s technical prowess- as I’m just a guy who happened to make a game with the help of many people. I am willing to make adjustments to performance, but I’m not sure where I’d start.
Is Clare’s skill “prestidigitation” supposed to deal 0 damage?
Download the new v3, there was a bug (I spelled a variable wrong) and it ended up making it do 0 damage.
Is there a new update or something, if so is this an extension of the story line including weight gain mechanics?
