So what are the ways to discard fascination? Running in the park become impossible after a while, so does doing project in classroom.

Jorker is temporarely muted, so he asked me to write a reply: activities not being reset is a bug, and he already uploaded a fix. Should work with old saves (damn, I wish my engine could do that…)

I played it a bit, and ngl it is good, just kinda feel a bit misled by the previews, I thought this was gonna be a fantasy game about a feeder conqueror in a fantasy kingdom having to rebuild his kingdom in the body of a woman still within the same realm, not an isekai game set basically in the modern world where I have to work for money(in a non-fantasy sense of course). So probably will take a step back from this game for a bit to see how it progresses, since I see a lot of potential in it, just kinda deflated when I realized what it was, keep up the good work tho!

Im wondering how to get specific things to happen. For starters it looks like uncertainty is used for the roommate but it says i need to stress her out but its unclear how to do that. Ive gone to the shop (Which is i guess RNG and not a traditional store which sucks because money is such a valuable resource to buy food with. There is also no way to know that I have all the items i need from the store because they sell duplicates. Im rambling but this is an issue for progress.) Another thing is that there is no indication that me spending my “spells” is actually doing anything i’m still not sure if these are actual magic or if its just flavor text. This is a demo so obviously alot of this stuff is in progress. Onto the good, the art is phenominal I love the artstyle for the current and background art. The writing is solid and i found myself chuckling to some of the dialouge.

I recommend some hints and maybe doing away with the current storefront. Maybe make some items worth 2 money rather than pissing away one just to get uncertainty.

Tragically, the cake deal is a lie.

Got a cake deal one day and it didn’t give me anything

After playing a bit more I do wanna amend that if you keep merging the basic “spells” you can actually make the girls grow pretty quickly. Although if you accidentally buy too many items from the store your use item slots go all the way across the screen and don’t allow you to merge what you want. That being said if you mix irritability you get anger then 2 anger equals one more health. So that solves any money problems. But you need knives to do that and of course that means more shop visits so your “use items” inventory as I’ll call it becomes useless in the games current state if you have too many items.

very cultist simulator inspired mechanically
other than an issue with having too many cards to the point i cant see all of them it seems very fun in a mindless repetitive cycle so fa

Thank you guys for the kind reception, it means a lot to me. I understand there is some stuff that works poorly or even designed poorly, but this is my first project and I’m open to criticism, so don’t worry, I will try to do my best to make this game into its best possible version.

3 weight stages each. Sadly everyone only has one extra dialogue outside the story mode in the demo, it was already a lot of work for our little key boy

The spell works on her, don’t worry.

The idea was that Mr. F is too far from an ordinary person, so each of his shop visits is more like an adventure to him, not a plain walk in → buy what you need cycle. Though I do understand the frustration. I think the best solution that doesn’t include stripping the game of its identity is removing the duplicates. And of course I should fix having too many cards, this is an issue I didn’t think of  thank you for your feedback, I hope your experience was overall more positive than negative.

Glad to read its inspired, not plagiarized. I did take inspiration from Cultist Simulator and I think mixing it with a visual novel can create a truly unique experience :face_savoring_food:

Dude there are so many obvious ai assets in this game dont try and brag “I didnt even use ai!”
Anyone with a brain can tell the only hand drawn thing here is the face, that armor is 100% ai its not even subtle.

This looks pretty interesting and I’m excited to see where it goes! Unfortunately, I couldn’t really play for more than than a few minutes because the interface and font are crazy small on my Steam Deck. (it has a resolution of 1280x800).

I didn’t expect to become a victim of AI witch hunt so early, and for as little as a single sprite piece. I mean, the character has the same armor in both their sprite and introduction CG, is AI known for being this consistent in such tiny details?

It’s not like you even pointed what exactly is AI about MC’s sprite except it being a smidgen more realistic than the face. I can easily admit to using photobash for some parts of the drawings, but this was never prosecuted in the artistic or, more importantly, gaming community. Please don’t make accusations like this towards your fellow artists, you of all people know how hard it is already to survive in post-AI era and you shouldn’t make it even harder because of some stuff like basic human laziness or just imperfection

I thought it should reasonably scale down, does this not happen? I think I can try making a port specifically for steam deck, but I’m not sure what things I should tackle for this

I’m going to say here now, any further discussion on this thread about AI will be considered off topic and taken down. If you have any concerns, message me or any of the staff with them and we can discuss it and go from there.

I had a chance to play the game earlier today, it was a good time! I wasn’t sure what to feel about the tone initially until we “Reverse-isekai’d”, at which point Keyfarer’s verbose script for the supreme villain definitely made me chuckle and smile when played off against the other straight-man characters having to put up with such a weirdo.

I’m not sure if Cultist Simulator was a direct inspiration or not, but energy, money, and concepts stored as cards that can be combined and utilized definitely felt very familiar. My only real complaint in the mechanic is how the UI/UX doesn’t really lend itself to explaining any of the intended interactions the way that game does. But overall I thought it was a very unique and cool loop that could have a lot of systems built off it.

I’m very curious how the relationships will evolve / play out, and whether or not there will be any branching narrative with them.

As for code I’m glad you’re using Renpy, even if it’s not really built for the cards or inventory mechanics I think it’s a great little engine. One small bug I encountered was if you are unlucky enough to roll cake on buy food, you use the remove_card instead of add_card and get nothing. The biggest issue for me was just that everything is defaulted to UltraHD 4K (3840 x 2160), and the UI is so small and hard to read for me. Looking forward to more though, it’s a cool concept!

If I have tried to combine two things before, and they had no combination, then when I select one I’d like the other to be grayed out. Or, if there is no combination (whether or not I’ve already tried), the other item should be grayed out.

You are right, there could definitely be a bit more explaining, it’s just that it was a bit of miscommunication between me and Key where he had to specifically write a tutorial section which could only explain so much, and it only became apparent when I was writing the code we needed more tutorials.

Haha its cool someone checked the code out to see how stuff like this works, but sure, its a bug. And the UI being too small wasnt intended either, I assumed everything would scale down but only the artwork did, which I should’ve expected.

The first one is defnitely required, and I don’t know about the second one, but for a fetish game, probably yes…

So, after reading all the feedback, I’ve come to a few conclusion about what’s necessary for the next fix/update:

  1. Increase UI size

  2. Remove duplicates dropping

  3. Make usable cards scrollable

  4. Show if the combination doesn’t work

same. also, using uncertainty on the roommate consumes any appetite, not the uncertainty

in addition to the stuff others have mentioned, the cake is currently a lie. Also I am wondering if there’s only 2 stages present in the game right now?
