when was this game last updated?
i cant say exactly when but i do know the last update was around the time that WotC released the OGL changes. It seems the creator was affected by the changes and supposedly wanted to look into alternatives like pathfinder.

dont know how active the creator of this is anymore but it seems like they removed javafx from the latest version of java 8 (as of april 15th this year i think) and i cant seem to be able to run the game because of it. i tried looking for a way to download an older version of java 8 with javafx installed with it but they all seem to be walled behind needing to sign up with oracle which requires making an account on their platform, which i dont feel comfortable doing because you have to give them your address and phone number as well as the name of a company youre signing up for to be able to even download any of the archived versions. itās incredibly frustrating to be gated like this, if anyone has a solution itād be great to hear about it.

The Liberica 8 JDK still supports JavaFX. Go to https://bell-sw.com/pages/downloads/#jdk-8-lts, scroll down a bit to Windows, select the āFull JDKā package, and download the MSI.

I, for the life of me, canāt figure out how to progress after finishing Orionās quest and obtaining the sword. The only way Iāve found to get the gate key is to kill Alexis, and I donāt want to kill an innocent NPC!

Itās no secret that Yaffaif hasnāt updated for years, and for that I am sorry. Itās time to close down this Patreon Iām afraid.There are a number of reasons for the lack of releases:
- The re-write that started with the OGL issues
- My deteriorating health
- A house move that led to hardware failures in three core systems (dev box - now working), version control box (still dead), and backup systems (still dead)
- A very narrow (and narrowing to hours) Patreon time box I have to hit each month to stop you all being charged when thereās been no release
- Uncertainty about which version of Java I should target now
- The poorly implemented age verifcation requirements from an incompetent administration in my country (not that the other lot are any better)
- General despondency with subscribers leaking the premium content to sharing sites
Itās not necessarily the end though. Iād like to keep working on it if I can - but particularly with the hardware failures I canāt until those are resolved. Iād suggest keeping an eye on Weight Gaming Yaffaif topic.
